Why in the hell does this board care so much about Jimbo?

This guy is going from one dumpster fire to another. Getting rewarded and is now overpaid for being a terrible coach the last 4-5 years. We will continue to beat a&m for years to come. All he cares about is himself and will bend over backwards any university willing to take it. Good luck with that garbage squad.

Not so much about Jimbo as it is their AD, who is an LSU guy, got the coach that our AD couldn't get.

Because he was the "most available" coach for the taking with connections to LSU.
Now, I actually think we somewhat dodged a bullet, this year has kind of exposed Jimbo. In a direct comparison with O, he was still clearly a better hire last year But he moved down my overall list in terms of other hires. I might have taken a Taggart over Jimbo in retrospect.

I don’t care I’ll be honest. We beat aTm every year regardless. They’re desperate. Jimbo has had personal issues in Florida this is his way out

When Jimbo was the OC at LSU all I heard from other fans in the stadium during games was how much they wanted Saban to fire Jimbo.

At the rate Jimbo was going, he could have stayed at FSU another year, gone 3-9 and gotten a 15 year $150mil offer.

A&m won’t win until they can get a solid D. That was Sumlins downfall and it will be Fishers downfall. I for one am not worried.

Jimbo was a good OC, not great.
Then he became "coach in waiting" at FSU where there were a lot of rumors of him stabbing Bowden in the back.

Of course, and if jimbo was to quit on a 5-6 team here, people would be even bigger dbags here. If O goes 5-6 the rant will say, I told you he sucked. Jimbo does it and it's ok.

Some of our fanbase is so mother fricking stupid. You can not sit here with a straight face and tell me that Jimbo Fisher is not a good coach. Unless you’re just that ignorant on football

He was our #1 choice last year to replace Les Miles.

A friend of mine was a trainer on FSU's staff when Bowden and Fisher were there. Bowden was a ghost, didn't know players names, called them by their number. He said Fisher could give a pregame speech that would make you want to run through brick wall. Bowden was a figure-head in the end, Fisher was the alpha coach in the locker room.
