I’d rather have him eat meaningful innings later in the week

Ripoll & Threadgill are not on roster per James Moran

Based on the announced roster, these are the relievers #LSU has active for the Regional:

Zack Hess
Todd Peterson
Devin Fontenot
Matt Beck
Ma'Khail Hilliard
Clay Moffitt
Trent Vietmeier
Aaron George
Chase Costello
Rye Gunter

An innings eater doesn’t eat meaningful innings, that’s the point

The baseball fans are the worst fans on tiger rant. They even rival the dregs of the SEC rant.

You saw his thread and agree with him? I agree the sidewalk fans on here are awful but he’s one of them

I hope you mean that in a + way? He eventually broke down but I thought he did good for awhile? Not trolling, just asking.

Yes this is a real head scratcher. No one of value should be pitched with a 15 run lead

Toss a different guy per inning the rest of the way and keep everyone available.

Why aren’t Ripoll and Threadgill on the roster? Are there extra roster limits for tournament play?

I am utterly confounded with Mainieri's entire pitching plan for this game and regional. It made no sense to start Marceaux in this game. I said that last night (before someone uses the hindsight is 20/20 line). And it's not like you're going to bring Marceaux back in this regional now that he's gone five innings, so why take him out now?

"Oh, we just want to save his bullets for next week". What? He's going to have an entire week off. The whole idea of taking Marceaux out to save HIM, seems to be centered on the ASSUMPTION that we don't lose tomorrow. I like our chances to win, but what happens if we don't? Well, then we'd be in the losers bracket with a thin staff. I wonder if he'd regret burning through relievers in this game, needlessly, then? What about saving THEIR bullets, on the in case that this becomes an extended regional?

I would have let Marceaux go at least two more innings, and then I would not have used Hilliard. It would have been someone like Gunter.

No way Hilliard should be in this game. I just don’t get some of these decisions. Why burn a decent bullpen arm at this point? I don’t want to question everything, but man some of this just doesn’t make any sense.

1 inning isn't "burning" Hilliard.
