Why has "Loves LSU" become a job qualification?

Come on, man. You've got to be kidding me with this crap? I'd cry too if I just became the OC at LSU, but that doesn't mean I'm qualified for the job. Johnny Jones loved LSU, look how that one worked out.

Hell, I'd take the biggest Bama fan on the planet as an OC or HC if the fricker wins games. That's what it's about. WINNING. Steve Ensminger does nothing to improve this program or alter the direction it is heading in. I applaud the man for loving LSU, but he is not "the best coordinator in the country", not even fricking close.

It is not like Orgeron can say it's because Ensminger is the only guy he can trust to not show him up.

It's all about who won't play games with us and/or get us in a bidding war.

I love LSU and coaching football in any capacity would be a dream job. Where do I collect my check ?

Loving LSU was Jim Hawthorn’s lone qualification. So not new.

I don't care if the OC is from Baton Rouge. That O thinks a significant portion of the fan base would proves just how stupid he is.

Johnny Jones career meh coach but we thought would well because he loves LSU !

Ed O sure he sucked at Ole Miss but that’s because Ed was sad and longed to be here...his words. Now that his heart is full of love, going to be elite.

Steve fired from his last few OC jobs, but he was missing the key ingredient in his playbook.... LOVE.

I don’t know if he did or not. But the “he loves LSU” response always came out in force when people pointed out how bad he sucked at his job.

I've loved LSU since I was a wee lad. My offenses were always ranked #1 in NCAA Football on XBox and my Madden offense is currently ranked #1. Pretty sure I can make a better gumbo than O (fricking tomatoes). I have a relatively thick cajun accent and my momma says I'd make a great coach. I think I'm ready for my big shot!

I hate to sound negative. I am 50 years old. I really do not believe that I will live long enough to see an LSU football team in the college playoffs. I have never been so frustrated with the bullshite hires and the lack of leadership that at Louisiana State University.

I am bitter and angry that the BOS and the AD doesn't give a shite about hiring the best and brightest minds. They think I am a fool for taking my money but not anymore.

I have little to no optimism about the next 1 to 5 years for the football program. No one at LSU gives a care either.
