Just curious if anyone knows. Seems as though they would be in a prime position to have a juco team and take all of the "grade troubled" LSU commits and could have a damn good team.

I don't think any juco school in Louisiana has a football team.

They wouldn't really have a conference to play in.

There's a conference of just Texas schools and a conference of just Mississippi schools. I'm not sure if either would want a school from a different state in their conference.

I’m from Eunice also.
Not sure where they would be able to play except for a high school field.

Ms allows BRCC to play in their conference in other sports so....

Also I believe the LA jucos that have baseball play the Texas schools twice already if not in the same conference so...

I do not think with LA having as many FCS schools as they have it will happen, would be great for LSU though and those JUCOs could be top notch much like East Ms or some of the Kansas powers maybe even as good as a Blinn or TX ones.

Why doesn't LSU-S have a football program? Much bigger school, and their baseball and basketball teams are national ppwers.

We had a flag football league. My two years there was dominated by a guy from Iowa that tore his knee up and didn't play in college.

He ran fricking circles around us on one knee.

MS has some really good JUCO football, and pretty much everyone of those schools is in the middle of nowhere.

O needs to make a little backroom deal with SLU. He will push grade issues to the Lions and SLU will push transfers to LSU.

An actual football program is on the radar for LSUE. I believe that if would not have recently lost our chancellor, that we would be applying for the sport. Dr Russell brought in men's basketball and also men's and women's soccer this year. I hope we continue the push to be a premier program for juco sports in Louisiana. Our baseball and softball programs may be the best in the country in our division. Football is not far from happening in Eunice, believe it or not.
