We led against a&m because our defense scored.
A&m last 4 possessions before game tying td
1. -6 yards punt
2. Lsu defensive td
3. -1 yard punt
4. Turnover on downs.
If you can see this and have any blame for the defense, youre biased and have an agenda.
Youre expecting the defense to be perfect just to cover up the offense.

2 of the 3 losses were b/c the defense couldn't stop the team on the last drive...i'm sorry when it comes down to tha last possession and our best unit is on the field we should win.
Florida game the defense sucked. Come on their QB is pitiful. A&M dominated us in the first half and our offense wasn't terrible....then the d played great until the final drive. Our previous DC took hell for it while making much less money and having higher ranked defenses yet Aranda gets non stop praise

And it was. We led the sec in takeaways without a pass rush and we were top 10 in scoring defense.

We had the ball with 2 minutes to go in the Florida game and threw a pick 6 when we needed a FG to win.
They scored 20 points on the defense.
That’s not pitiful
We scored 19 points on offense. That’s fricking pitiful.
If we averaged those numbers every game our defense would be ranked 20th and our offense would be 125th. The whole game matters.
The whole games matters.
We had 4 quarter to score enough points to put the game away. The only reason it was close in the 4th was because our Offense sucked.
Most good teams aren’t fricking going down to the last possession with middle of the road teams.
They scored 20 points on the defense.

the defense shouldve never been back on the field after an 8 minute stint where they scored, had 2 negative yard drives, and forced a turnover on downs. Again down 4 starters youre expecting the defense to be perfect to cover up our abortion like offense.

You mean when we held them to 169 yards?
Just stop while youre behind.
Our defense held a top 20 offense to its 2nd lowest yards total.
Its least amount of 1st downs.
And had to score for us to even be in the game in the 4th.
I know youre searching for any way to not blame this on your deity but it wont work.

Here is the deal with this fan base.... they will not be happy until we score like Oklahoma and shut teams down like Bama.....

We only had 31 because the defense scored and kept us in the game the 2nd half up until the last drive.

Exactly.
Its amazing that our defense gift wrapped the last 8.5 minutes of the a&m game for the offense, the offense cant get a single 1st down, and the defense( down 4 starters) is supposed to remain perfect.

Stop setting unrealistic arguments up. No one would be having this conversation if we average 24 pts/per game on O, 7 points against on D, and won every game but Bama and/or Georgia.
