Why is the committee granted secrecy?
All of their meetings should be recorded and the transcripts released on Wednesdays after the new rankings come out.
If their discussions and rankings are totally above board, then they should have no objection to letting everyone know every single word that's said.

Rankings have been a joke forever. Then the BCS came along to fix it. Now this committee has turned it back to a joke again.
We need a 6 team playoff with each conference champ and 1 at large team. It will make non conference games unimportant except for the one at large spot. So if you schedule cupcakes and don’t win your conference no chance at the at large bid. It will fix all this crap!

Think of increments of 4, we need 8 teams in the playoffs. Do away with conference championships and have a 8 team playoff with the 8 highest ranked teams determined by a system similar to the BCS.
Play 4 games and determine the top 4
Play 2 games and determine the top 2
Play 1 game and determine the champion
They could take the top ranked team from each power 5 conference and then 3 at large. 6 teams is an odd format and would I guess reward the top two ranked teams by playing 1 less game and there again unfair to the other 4 teams.
