I think there should be a statue of LSU's only Heisman Trophy outside the stadium.

He served his time and he's done well since then.

Because he is a convicted felon. If you and your liberal friends are so high on this idea, why don't YOU write a check?

Way to write off the life of someone. Surely you, in all your purity, have never committed a crime, right? Billy Cannon has contributed more to mankind and society than you have. Plus, he can ball a lot better than you.

Yes, Cannon committed a crime...BUT...he served his time. In addition, he used his time, talent, and treasure as a dentist to provide care to inmates at Angola...pretty damn noble in my opinion. The guy deserves our forgiveness! #getoverit

I'm against statues as a matter of principle....we are NOT Alabama (or Florida) for that matter...

something should be named after Billy after he's gone, but NO statue!!!!

I vote no. Convicted felon. Serving time is not an absolving of guilt. Plenty of other deserving candidates. JMO.

Alabama and Florida are not unique, there are statues at stadiums and schools for athletes and coaches all over the country.
