Because it’s the 3rd time for your fighting tigers of LSU

Because the fine increases each time. LSU is on its 3rd fine for rushing the field. Increase doesn't change (yet..
rules chan always change) after third time.

Yeah Tennessee hasn't won enough of late to have too many field stormings

Then the fine on November 5th will be $500k.

2 of ours were for victories over Ole Miss which in no way, shape or form deserved storming the field.

Nope, it stays at 250k for every other storming of the field going forward.

If we get another fine for bama that is well worth it

I know that, my point was that it's gonna happen again. I couldn't think of a clever way to imply it though

Because they are idiots that had zero reason to do so and embarrassed the SEC

The tab is 50K first offense, 100K second offense, and 250K third offense and beyond.

So everyone from now until this rule is changed or removed will be 250K.

Bigger question is why does the NCAA care if LSU's field is destroyed or not?

Probably a public safety thing. Sooner or later someone will be hurt really badly or killed.

Seems like in cases where they pull down the goal posts the fines would be more. The LSU one from this weekend seemed pretty tame as "rushing the field" goes.
