Prolly cause we’ve only beaten them one time since 2012.

Didn’t read your rationale but I think we have a shot. Better shot than beating Mississippi State in my book. All about matchups.

Because BJ, Boutte, Nabors and maybe Ward are the only guys we have that would start at Bama.

Because Bama will hold our D line the entire game and not be flagged for it. If the game is ever in doubt for them the refs will take over as directed.

I think "everyone" would love to win against those bastards. But when there's uncertainty, there will be serious doubts. New coaches, new players, etc. There are always big upsets every year, though, in college football and this year is no different. I'd just rather have no expectations. Then, a win would be spectacular and I could watch the goal posts can get torn down.

We can beat them. Hit young early and often, he doesn’t like contact, he can’t handle hostile environments, and their receivers can’t get separation. We’ve already shut down an air raid offense. We need to BRING THE NOISE that night and make their fricking ears bleed. They are vulnerable.

I assume LSU goes undefeated every year but that's just me.

Every game is winnable, just the Bama game will be the hardest to win due to talent level and experience.

Why would they not? Are you expecting LSU to win out this season? If not, which team do we play that is better than Bama?

That doesn't mean I think LSU can't win, it just means that history and the makeup of the two teams seems like Alabama will be a loss.

But I hope we figure out a way to skull drag them

Because years ago there used to be a veiled attempt at parity. Or at least the allusion of it. I blame ESPN and their constant yapping and promoting of gambling for ruining the "any given Saturday" belief in College Football. Now W's and L's are already assuming 6 days before the games are played.

A lot of people don't get that this is the main reason we played well. They went from 13% to almost 50% blitz rate. Mostly rb side of the alignment.

LSU will compete with Bama and have a very good chance for the upset. Last year we almost beat them at their house. This year Kelly will likely pull the team together for a great victory.

That’s just the on tap comment at this point, isn’t it? Daniels has to throw, Daniels has to throw.

Alabama can’t pass.

What LSU has to do is sustain drives and keep the defense fresh, because that Alabama offense is what it was 10 years ago. A slow, grinding machine. I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that you need to be air raid to move the ball on Alabama.

I wouldn’t say “automatically assume”. I’d say “think it’s likely”.

If LSU had beaten Alabama last season, would Ed Orgeron have kept his job? I’ll say no.
No, but great food for discussion! UV from these parts.
