Frank Wilson apparently lobbied to keep him on the Staff. It's an abomination and insult to every LSU fan that one of the worst assistant coaches in LSU football history is still hanging on. The OL GA from Tennessee could've finished out the season.

Don't know about the portal but according to 247sports that lists coaches to recruits, Martinez the med 4* OT, Cooley the high 3* OT, and Chapman the low 3* OL were recruited by Davis. 2 OL are from LA, 1 from MS.

Throwing this out there, but what if Brad Davis was just coaching the technique that Kelly required.
Kelly’s claim to fame was Olineman, maybe he was just doing what he was told?

And the reason Brad Davis still has a job is because finishing the season with actual coaches is more important than you getting your immature pound of flesh that might make you feel good for a day or 2, but could be devastating to some of the young OL we have for the rest of the their season. Somebody has to actually coach the players the last 4 games. Davis won’t be back next season. Isn’t that enough?
