Honestly when we signed blue I thought it was a wasted scholarship. Nothing against blue but we already have a stable of running backs.

I think Ford and Ware likely are the most talented backs on the team. I know nothing about their playbook knowledge or other potential issues that may prevent them from playing, but for whatever reason, it looks like they will get the least amount of carries out of the 5 backs in question.
It's still early though and injuries and other issues may change the rotation. I still think the Ware injury is BS and it's a redshirt ploy. We'll see.

I have the WANT to see Ford play because he was really good in the spring game. He's been a part of the team for over a year now and the other guys haven't shown me to be better yet. So all things equal I would have let Ford tote the rock and redshirt the true frosh if possible.

and....the final reason is his work ethic....Which has been brought up time and again. Ford will get his chance on the field...I'm sure of it...I do beleive Miles knows who is better...I'm sure they have meetings pre and post practice and discuss who is giving it 110% and who is not...Yes he looked good, but argue that Ridley didn't...GEEZ...In the words of WVU...Let Les "BY GOD" Miles coach the team...

if blue is better then so be it. but the dude keeps fumbling. yet ford stays on the bench. makes no sense to me.

I have seen blue in the first 3 games fumble 3 different times
again, false statement or flat out lie. blue has fumbled TWICE. he's only played in TWO games.

was at the game. The people who were considered 1st team that day were switched back and forth and Ford ran through them no matter what combo was presented. NO ONE said Nevis played and Downs isn't 1st team. Again, he ran through the LSU defense like no one has in the first three games
Nevis and Downs are two of the top three tackles on the freaking team. if brockers was on the same team as ford, think about who ford was running against. even if he was on the opposite team, it's not like running against nevis, sheppard, brockers, downs, montgomery, adams, baker, and francois as your starting front seven.

While Ridley has run well, people are making way too much out of him. He's honestly not running that amazingly, but just above average. He had one great game against a bad Vandy team, struggled against MSU and has average 4.3 and 4.1 yards per carry in two of his 3 games this season. He had one game blow up his stats and people think he's the next coming.
Kid is a solid back and needs to get touches, but he's not great, especially with 3 fumbles lost in his past 4 games.

Transfer. To a team that will use his talents!

Ridley is doing fine. If Ford was really the best thing since sliced bread then he would be starting right now.
Maybe he needs more time. We have the luxury of waiting for him to mature unlike we did with the 2 QBs.

Miles is PUNISHING Ford for some reason. Miles is a very stubborn man.

It gets harder and harder for you to beat him up every week doesnt it?
Ford is 5th string!
You get more pathetic every time you post.

Ever heard of the coaches doghouse? Ford is the best RB we have....period so stop being so blind to that fact

Having watched Ford play his entire HS career, I noticed several times already this year that when the back who is playing gains about 7 or 8 yards, I can see where Ford may make a cut or show a burst the others don't have that could lead to a much longer play. That's what Ford presents that the others don't. Believe me or not, knowing his running style, that's what I see.

I just want to see what Ford can do. I was to believe that Ridley and Ford would get the bulk of the carries because of what happened then saw Blue and Ware play before him and got confused. He went from 3rd to 6th in a flash and now Ware is hurt, Murphy will not likely play, Blue is ok but nothing to go crazy about, he should ne moved to second string Blue third and Shep 4th

Ford just looked too good in the spring game to not get a shot. I mean give the kid a chance and the worst he can do is fumble!

if it's a fact where is the evidence?
I thought he was going to be the man myself. however, I just don't think a coach is going to have the best back on the team playing fifth string, either.

Everyone says trust the coaches. Well all spring and summer they kept talking up ford. No mention of Ridley or Murphy. I got to hear a few coaches speak at events this summer and each time they said Ford would be our breakout player. So through 3 games where is that at? I don't care who plays myself but I personally think Ridley is more of a 3rd down back who can help us in the second half. Not an everydown guy. He has looked decent against average teams but I'd rather the explosive guy who can break away for the main event. Whether that is blue or ford i don't care. Murphy to me doesn't event need to see the field. I feel for the guy but i don't see it in him. Might be a great blocking back and slot guy though.
