So the LSU mentality is you can name a building after him, but you can't have a statue of him because he didn't graduate? That seems logical.

There is nothing that prevents a statue of The Pistol from being put up just because he did not graduate from LSU. That restriction applies to the LSU Hall of Fame & nothing else. Had ESPN existed back in Pete's days, he would have been a bigger icon than Shaq by far, and I love Shag for all that he represents about LSU.
