Kids these days just aren't as competitive in that sense. They've all known each other for a long time through camps and what not, follow each other on social media. It's not like back in the day where you don't really know the rival so you just hate everything about them, so it doesn't sting as bad when he goes there. But frick ricks

Just because they don't go out of their way to say it doesn't mean they don't feel it. I would imagine they do feel betrayed.

Just understand that this isn't the 80s/90s/00s anymore. Its not school over anything like it used to be (at least, not for a lot of these players).

You can't compare today's players to the Michael Irvin's who'd kill for their school. They just don't think that way anymore.

Fans see things differently than the players/teammates. Dude stuck it out for 2 years with Pelini and Jones, and he doesn't want to risk his chances with a third coach that he HAS to conform to, when he can easily go to a proven coach.

As a fan, it looks dishonorable, but as a player he's just trying to get his $$$

But you're right on this:

quote:

frick Eli Ricks

Wish he could've finished his career at LSU because he would've been very special to have.

Remember, when Ricks left the program was a complete train wreck and Ed have the entire team looking after their own interests first.
There were strong reasons to want to leave the team at the end of the year.
By the time of the Texas Bowl we were having trouble fielding a team and nobody wanted to be the starting QB.

But they’re going out of their way to say the opposite

sorry bro

The game isn't the same. Watching college football is kind of like watching a movie. Suspension of Disbelief is necessary. If you ever stop to pay attention to what's going on it will ruin it for you.

Because they don’t revolve their life around and solely judge others based on how they choose to play a ball game. Or how a ball game should be played. Like you do. And me as well sometimes. And many here.

Put it this way, it’s like you are working at one place and meet friends and u leave and go work for another company. You will probably still be friends with those same people. The company might not like it, but the employees probably doesn’t care.

I can’t imagine knowing what Eli Ricks is posting on Twitter without women like you running here crying about it. How old are you?

Most players don’t have any loyalty to their school or team anymore, they’re just trying to make it to the League. Should they hate Stingley too?

These guys have lives outside of football. Some of them even have children. No it doesn’t. And it shouldn’t.

Its not complicated. Many of those guys have known each other for years. They are friends and respect each other. They have a life off the playing field.
