It's the analysis of the spring GAME that is useless. There have been many faulty generalizations made after that beauty of a meaningless scrimmage.

All the cool fans don't give a frick about football outside of the games. I'm sick of all the phonies and posers who're interested in spring ball. Amirite?

That's debatable.

Just because of this thread, I am going to go from analyzing to over-analyzing this years spring game.

1) boredom
2) lack of interest in baseball and basketball

Well it's kinda important to know what the offense will look like with new OC/WR/RB coaches.

It gives everyone the opportunity to identify the most popular player on campus. The backup QB.

The people on this board will not like this, but the reason that people analyze spring practice is because they are boring.

Why does the football team even remotely have a spring practice?

To develop fundamentals and teach them the plays to run for the spring game?

Meh, I get that it is very important for the team to get these practices in and all. We are bored for football news and it's a nice to have something going on.

I kind of get the point of the OP though with people looking at stats and going nuts over the good and the bad. It really means nothing when you are thinking about it like that. You have no idea what the situations are for certain practices so the qb stats are especially useless.

It's all good. I'm just ready for August to be here because baseball bores me.

It tells you absolute crap about the team. Most it tells you is who got fat and who has individual work to do. It has zero implications for the season except getting someone injured.

because people who love football are drawn to every aspect of it.

Why do assholes who dont give a frick about the game itself show up for the 1st home game with a southern tide polo and a case of hot bush light and get fricked up?

Same reason they watch the Spring Game....no life....is there a more boring football game save for the Senior Bowl, etc. than a college Spring Game?
