Something I've always wondered about. He was very good in college, his biggest attribute was he rarely made mistakes.
I believe he played in Europe, but that was about it.

I’m no expert but I’d venture to say because he wasn’t good enough.

The band aid was the first thing I thought of too. Always is.

Didnt have an outside shot and not big enough to be a post player.

I forgot all about that. I think someone posted some sort of proof that he was a porn star.

It was quite a shock, when I was just trying to enjoy some Esperanza Gomez.

Too short for his position. He was 6'6, would have had to be a 2 guard, and he couldn't play that in the league.

For real? She’s top notch in the industry.

6'6" slasher .i liked Vernel but with an average at best jump shot and really just to thin to defend

Vernel had a guard’s body, but he played under the basket at LSU. Because he had uncanny jumping abilities, he got tons of rebounds, and tons of garbage points off those rebounds against much taller kids.

He never developed as an outside threat, and 6’6” forwards that can’t shoot from the outside aren’t going to have a career in the NBA.

I am not comfortable with Vernel’s life path since he left LSU, but I still love him for his contributions to our school. If he ever needed some blood, I’d eagerly give him some of mine.

If he had been any good, we wouldn't have fizzled out so quickly in the Big Dance.

If he’d been any good? That’s ridiculous. It’s a team game. Singleton more than pulled his weight.
