Because Dave Van Horn is a moron. This is why he hasn’t won a title, despite having some incredible teams.

I'd rather pitch to Jones than Brown right now with a right handed pitcher.

Why did 1st base cut off 2nd on a easy out if he just covers 1st? Why did Aloy not turn 2? Why did LF not catch a ball that hit him in the shoulder?

He has had some clutch hits, but also strikes out a lot.....guess they were hoping for a strikeout so that they wouldn't make another error.
Did you say everyone had him figured out snd he was a shitty hitter that couldn't hit good pitching?

They got cute trying to pitch around him instead of just walking him.

I also don’t think they wanted to go righty lefty against Brown

i think they had a good plan

threw nothing but sliders down and away

i don’t think that pitch Jones
hit was even a strike if just was outside enough

and jones knew they were coming too. he just refused to be pitched around

Would you have been upset to have Josh in that spot against a righty? I know I wouldn’t have been.

It would have been Pearson not Brown.

Cause they read the rant and know Jared Jones can’t hit the slider.

I would have bet a lot of money they were going to throw nothing but junk at him. It literally made no difference if he reached base.

Righty vs righty with Jones. Statistically it’s the right call.

No it wasn’t. Pearson struggles with RHP. The smart move would have to put Bear on first and take your chance with Pearson. Pearson is 3 for 18 in the post season and that mostly batting with favorable matchups. Pitching to Bear was dumb

Jones was struggling on offspeed. Dave played the percentages and they threw offspeed and Bear made them pay!

We’ve gone from “Jones should never be allowed to bat again” to “why did they pitch to Jones?”… gotta love the rant
