Maybe because even with a backup QB, he made halftime adjustments (strange concept I know) and is on the verge of pulling off a huge comeback.
To the idiot above claiming Jimbo is unproven, he has something Les doesn't an undefeated season with a NC. As to Patterson, he's a good coach, but still doesn't have a NC, unlike Fisher.

No, he sucks because he went all in on a spread offense scheme, and forgot how to coach defense. Sadly there are some who want us to go full spread or air raid, but they don't realize there are tradeoffs when you do this.

TCU bumped up in competition when they joined the Big 12. Patterson got tired of anemic offense. He changed things. He's had plenty success since. Yes the defense is bad now and he might never win a NC, but remember--this is frickin TCU. You really gonna dog him Bc he can't win a NC at TCU???
