Kaminer should’ve been pulled after he beaned his lefty matchup

This is why I’m pissed. He was 0-2 on the lefty you brought him in to get out, then he hits him. You don’t let him face the righty, take his arse out. That decision lost the game.

Why did we go to Storz and Kaminer to ice the last 3 innings?

My guess is at some point these guys have to be battle-tested for the games ahead and preferably before SEC play begins.

They failed the test. Doesn't mean they're bad pitchers or their career is over. Just had a bad day.

He could have Nolan Ryan on the mound and he would put in a junk ball lefty vs lefty every time. Drives me insane.

Yes. Dammit, he did it so many times last year I lost count.

Paul Mainieri, every year he’s been here, auditions players in roles until he gets comfortable with what they can give him. Mainieri was not necessarily making the best decision to win the game. He had an opportunity to get some data on what Kaminar can do in an important situation. CPM will try Kaminar out several more times in high leverage lefty-lefty situations. How he does will determine what Mainieri will do during the much more important games in the future.

One thing is certain - the people who bitched because Mainieri didn’t have lefties on the team last year have no ground to stand on regarding this substitution. Of course Lester Earl lol’s that CPM had Stortz face the first lefty, and substituted for the second, but Les has no friggin idea what the scouting reports on those hitters were, lol. Les is just a rule of thumb guy, lol.

See now you’re speaking common sense, three meatballs, regardless of pitcher got hammered. I guess Baylor missed the memo on letting the tigers win. Some posters on here assume the other team has no right to try and win and that LSU baseball should go undefeated.

I’m old and my memory isn’t that great..but I thought up until the actual strikeout pitch on Storz’ last batter, the at bat was a pretty scary one with a lot of good swings. I think I said “whew” to myself at least 3 or 4 times. I wasn’t too upset when he was pulled before facing another lefty.

Nope
Against EKy he was at 90 on his fast ball and showed a good breaking ball and a good change. The guy earned his chance yesterday.

Now he failed to do a job, but that’s part of the process. He will have more chances and if he improves, he will be a key piece out of the pen. If he fired the he will be a midweek innings eater.

Why did he even put him in...Paul lost the game with 'his" decision to go with storz/kaminer....he should have used beck right off ...it's a big close game.. I listened to pawl on radio pregame today and he blamed the wind, yeah the wind and Mathis and beloso not coming thru in last inning. What a bunch a crap
