Why did Logan Diggs enter the portal?

Was it one of those to open up a spot to help get us to 85? Or looking for a better NIL deal? I've never heard a reason behind him leaving for another school.

I’ll guess. Diggs was recruited with a good size NIL deal. Because our RB group has been rebuilt, we are not renewing, and he is moving on to someone who will pay. Very good back.

I think the Kaleb Jackson era is about to start and Caden Durham likely gets early touches too. We also have the LA all time leading rusher Holly sitting on the bench.

There’s rumors he had a pretty serious knee injury in the bowl game and had an entire leg brace on when he left the field after 2 plays. We will be fine at RB.

He probably wants to be the rb that gets almost all the touches. LSU alternated rb’s pretty regularly throughout the game. My guess is he goes somewhere like Ole Miss where he can rush for 1000 yards.

I think the injury is the answer. Jacques Doucet posted video from the bowl game of him going to the locker room with what looked like a pretty serious knee injury. I have to assume he would've gone to the NFL or maybe returned to LSU, but this injury forced him to change plans and look for a new school.

Jacque has a video of it - didn’t look good. But there’s more to it. Insiders on paid site alluding to something more sensitive but aren’t sayin exactly what.

If you want to take advantage of NIL, you have to strike when you're hot. No team is going to fork out a lot of money for a RB that has been riding the pine. He had a good year, and I hate that he's leaving, but it's understandable given the current state of CFB.
