We still had Evans and Cowan available. Bring in one of them and start the other pitcher tomorrow. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed with the way we swinging the bats even with both Cowan and Evans going tomorrow. I just do t get it

Would have been wasted. Bats were dead as J. Howard Marshall’s dick for the most part.

We were down 3-2. Say we bring in Evans and he shuts em down ( there’s no guarantee he does).

We have to score two to win. We didn’t.

If anyone’s being honest about this subject, it’s been clear that the last two years the offense has been built around the HR.

If LSU doesn’t slug — we don’t win. Period.

The bat-to-ball skills just aren’t there. We have no offense in the sense of manufacturing runs. Not good at moving runners, playing smart situationally, putting hits together, calling plays successfully, etc. We live and die by the HR.

It’s just not good baseball. If Jay doesn’t have far and away the best roster then it has been proven it doesn’t work.

Numbers don't back this up at all.

When will Johnson have one of the top three staffs? Isn't that what he's paid to do?

You pride yourself on logic. Kentucky hit this superior Tennessee pitching well enough to take the series. A&M dominated this superior Tennessee pitching . They even run ruled the Vols one game. How do you explain it? You keep preaching about LSU fans overreacting so where is your logic?

Matchups matter and I don't think anyone will argue that LSU is in a slump right now.

A&M folks can do the same thing and ask themselves why they got swept at Bama when LSU won their series vs the Tide.

how many runs did they have through the first 2 games?

they went 1-1 in those games too.

In fact so did A&M

A&M got shut out in game one.

You want to bring up those series and ignore the actual games.

I just wished LSU could go 56-0 at least one time in my life. I mean it should be so easy for a program like LSU to accomplish. Need better coaches.

We lost a midweek game 13 to 3. We had 3 solo homers in that game. Last nights Tenn loss was the same output. You better look closer.

Not sure what happened in the midweek though.

we get it...you are a defender

But, if you think it is just these last 3 games, LOL. We are 3-5 over our last 8 conference games, and 4-6 overall over our last 10. A loss today makes that 3-6 and 4-7. It won't get any easier with Ark coming, and A&M and SC on the road.

well you are replying to Josh

He is the one that started a few threads about how we should never question this team, Jones is great, Jay is great, everyone questioning is stupid.....after the win Friday night/Sat morning.

Josh ain't all there.
