Last night the other nonsec refs finally threw 2 flags for it.
the second holding call was on a wide receiver and it was pretty weak.

funny the people that blame bad passes, dropped balls or blocking solely on players forget some things.
you should not have many of the above unless it is TALENT problems......
miles is a great recruiter so the talent argument is null and void. that leaves one thing

Stud came with Crowton in 2007 and was part of the Crowton offense. Hence why it looks so familiar to 2008, 2009 and 2010.
no, miles shitcanned plenty crowtons formations and plays and went to BO Schembechler ball in 2010. It is there for all to see. It was confirmed by an ex LSU lineman also.

That's why there was almost zero change when he left.
It wasn;t him.
If it was, there would have been at least some change. There wasn;t. The only commonality is Miles.

That is correct. crowtons last year was 2010.
and he had basically no say so that year. JJ's problems with all the formations crowton ran in 2009 is what got him relegated to that...basically the OC in name only in 2010. and why miles went to Bo ball going forward ever since.

He will be the 3rd best recruiter in our own division. Saban and Sumlin will recruit better.

Here is what I want you to do Granddad.
Respectfully.
Go to your nightstand and find your preseason football magazine with the depth chart.
Look at the super-experienced starting OL .
Then look at the starting OL of the bowl game.
Then think "injuries" and "quit the team".
And you will understand the reality of our situation.

and they will poach a few more top players from LA every year, while locking down their own states.
The slide under Miles has begun.

and he is locked up for what? 7 years?
I'll bet the big money guys who had the $$$$$ ready after 2009 are not happy. Miles was lucky he did not lose 4 or 5 in 2010. if he would have lost 4 or more he was history. it would have been his 3rd straight zook like year.

why can't LSU have an OL as good as bama
wait, maybe Les is a genius and he has Stud in the booth so he can't coach the O-line... hmmmmmm..

Its simple:
#1 LSU lacks a quality oline coach right now.....losing Ben Wilkerson did NOT help
#2 LSU had really bad luck with injuries and other issues.
#1 is the most glaring because Turner and Alexander are talented......I hope they don't screw up Pocic. That kid has star written all over him.

I understand everyone's passion about our football team because i'm just as passionate about it. Realize vadal is a true freshman guys. True freshman against a senior defensive end (5th year football player). This only prepares him for next year bc he realizes that his feet have to get better to keep up and i'm sure they'll coach him up in the off-season. It hurts to see bama play and win again but look at the games we've lost. It was always the one or two plays miles wish he had back. Not many teams are in the position as frequently as we are.

Sumlin may be the worst thing to happen to LSU. He will get the east Texas kids and start stealing La. talent. Especially offensive talent.

Offensive scheme and complexity maximizes the talent on Bama's Oline. Their running game is on the level of the NFL in scheme and close in talent (albeit young and developing which is scary). Their passing game is simplistic like LSU, but the play action kills opponents when Bama is running the ball at will. LSU is one of only maybe 3 teams (UF? and A&M?) that can even slow down the Bama offense occasionally because of depth/talent in the front seven. If Bama's running game is not as smooth as it usually is they look beatable (like against A&M and LSU at points), but eventually their scheme, talent and discipline overwhelms the defense and they will manufacture points. Bama's opponent offense must keep up (difficult against that D) and Bama's opponent defense must create turnovers.
LSU's running game is simple, predictable, and undisciplined. I believe the undisciplined part comes from the simplistic nature of the scheme because when players feel that they can just "go through the motions" on simple plays they will miss blocks or play with less intensity. When the scheme is complex the players must focus on every play in order to have success. The predictable play calling is a result of players not executing the simple scheme because of poor discipline, and the lack of execution results in a lack of confidence from both the coaches and the players in expanding the running game playbook which perpetuates the cycle of frustration.
LSU MUST open up the play book in the running game. There is some shreds of evidence of better scheme when Ford is given a chance to run outside or Ware and Hill are given the ball in misdirection or power plays off-tackle. But usually we are stuck with toss-dive and middle traps. With LSU's team speed and talent at running back, running misdirection plays off-tackle and sweeps would not only pressure opponents to make plays in space against the run, but also keep the opponents defense moving sideline to sideline wearing them down.
I know TL;DR, but thought I would give my best analysis/opinion.

I'm pretty sure in the ESPN's Barrett Jones=The greatest offensive lineman ever video, he actually held twice in the video.

Cause Les is the coach and he can't even coach them or find someone who can.
