Why are we letting people with no business sense negotiate these contracts for LSU?

I'm going to pick this fight. Nobody worth a crap at LSU knows how to negotiate with these agents. LSU needs to hire the right people or bring in outside consultant to run point on these things.

The fact they let a single moron agree to a 10 yr contract with a massive buyout to happen is enough proof.

Then the BOS clapped like a bunch or trained seals and let it happen.

The boosters with real money should demand more. Hell, it's their money they throwing away.

1. You have no idea how these things work. Like at all.

Even if your misunderstanding of how this works is true, do you think the 30+ year administrator and negotiator is "a moron" in this field?

You don't know how this works.

Who do you think gave Woodward the money to hire Kelly lol?

Taking into account the candidate pool at the time, Kelly was a good hire on paper. The frickup was the contract.

There is no way in hell Woodward was the sole person doing the negotiating. The only thing dumber would be to say Kelly did the negotiating on his end. Its $100M deal with a public university people. Jesus

In reality, the coaches have all the leverage.

Who would you have hired and what would you have paid him?

You might be right but at the end of the day the market is the market. Coaches are worth what schools are willing to pay. Right now proven P5 coaches cost a lot.

Which coach would you not like to have? Johnson? Mulkey? Pretty sure the seven figure boosters don’t agree with you.
