The vast majority of people that like women's basketball are senior citizens and Subaru drivers.

Middle-aged male here. Dont drive a Subaru either. And WBBis probably my favorite LSU team right now. Baseball is a close 2nd.

I hope you don't have daughters. If you do, God help them.

If they installed a trampoline on the court for basketball I might watch to see if they could actually dunk.

Watched back to back games Saturday night. The women are good but it’s completely different than the men’s game.

I am an LSU fan so anything LSU can win a championship in that’s cool I’m all for it. But let’s be serious no one gives a shite about women’s basketball really.

I find it strange that there are so many bad remarks about our girl BB. I suppose you could say Our football team was the most exciting events we watched this year. Some idiots would do that.

Because women don't watch women's sports. I only have the attention span for maybe 3-5 sports in any given year. I personally don't watch much basketball at all much less women's cbb

Well…women’s ticket prices as a general rule are cheaper than men’s prices, so there’s that. Maybe that’s part of why there are fewer empty seats…

I like women's basketball and have season tickets. When my daughter was young, she played basketball in elementary and junior high and she became a huge LSU basketball fan starting back in the Sue Gunter and Simone Augustus days. She still is a die hard fan. I became a fan because of taking her to watch something she loved. We live out of town now but go to the weekend games when we can. Sometimes its hard to make it because she has little ones now but I watch on TV if we can't go. We're taking her oldest little to her first game this coming Sunday. This is a fun team to watch!

The same reason no one watches competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu compared to MMA. It is an inferior product to watch entertainmnent-wise. Americans enjoy their entertainment but those with the means to go to games and by the merchandise have limited capacity of time and money to enjoy it and would be dumb to use that capacity to watch an inferior product.

If time and money were no issue anyone could get rich on anything they enjoy doing.

Me too, especially give they pack the PMAC almost every time they play, which many on this thread seem to completely ignore.

I mean like it or not there's real interest in women's hoops here, so much so the title of the thread is almost laughable in it's ignorance.

I think one can admit that U-Highs boys team would beat our gals by 20 points and still enjoy our women's hoops for what it is.

Not trying to defend the negative posters, but when you ask a question in your title for people who don’t support women’s basketball then you’re inviting those people’s comments into your post. Maybe you didn’t directly ask the non supporters but it’s inferred in the question. If you’re not ready to hear what they say then don’t ask the question.

As for my opinion, I disagree with the individuals who say women’s basketball is trash. I am able to differentiate between men’s and women’s sports and see the women for their abilities. I don’t try to compare them to the men. I understand their physical limitations when upheld to men, so when I separate that concept out I am able to enjoy the game for what it is.

I believe the women’s game exhibits more of past basketball concepts than the men. The presence of bigs is a lost concept in men’s basketball. It is a force in the women’s game today like men’s games of the past: Shaquille O’Neal, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, etc. The women’s game utilizes the inside out game that I truly enjoy.

Now only if the referees were better and officiating was up to the standard of the men’s game, then we would have a truly great product!!?
