You just don't realize how young we are this year.
And how much we have lost to injuries on top of that.
This is the wrong year for us to play LSU.
We are going to get our butts kicked but we are going to come over there and have a good time getting it done. :)

As far as I can tell, exactly zero "ranters" will play the game on Saturday, so, as I have stated time and time again:
IT DOESN'T frickING MATTER IF ANONYMOUS INTERNET POSTERS LOOK PAST AN OPPONENT. AT ALL. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT.
Tiger Stadium will be full of people who don't normally go to games as this will be a weekend for people with season tickets to watch the game at home. It'll be a fun game, and all in all it won't matter how loud the crowd is.

This game will be over in ten minutes they don't have a snowball chance in hell of hanging broseph.

The Cowboys' quarterback and two running backs are supposedly out with injuries. I think the line is something like 52, which is why the fan base is looking beyond, but I hope the team isn't. As it is, we have a nasty habit of playing down to our competition.

I hope that we crush McNeese and I think we will but I just don't want to overlook anyone, especially in light of some of the upsets this year.

T.J. McCartney lights 'em up.

If we can't look past McNeese, then we need to look ahead to 2011.

If this was a 1995 - 2003 Era McNeese Team or the 2007 or 2008 McNeese Team you might have a point, but given the youth of McNeese's current team and current injuries at positions with little depth it won't be a problem for LSU to win this game, especially with the running game and defense.

Tech and Troy were far better than McNeese - they are more on the ULL/ULM pick'em level!

because there is not ONE mcneese player that could start on LSU's team

The Cowboys' quarterback
I heard they were on the 3rd qb. Like someone said earlier if this were the 07 team they could probably make it a game for 2 quarters but this one will get ugly.

McNeese may actually have negative ydg in the 1st half against our starters! It is THAT bad for tehm as a team decimated by injuries.
Let's start a prediction thread, total yds Mc will have at the half.
The reason JJ is starting is because we could literally qb sneak on every play and score every time we have the ball.
They are not good at all this year. And if it is even almost close, JJ will hear the boooos and therefore Miles is setting him up to take the fall>
Typical

No, it is only the second team quarterback. As far as runningbacks, we lost one in one of the fall scrimmages for the year, and then lost our 1st and 2nd teamers this past weekend. We are down to our 4th string runningback, a transfer from Michigan St. with two freshmen backing him up.
If I could pick a McNeese team from the past to play LSU, I'd pick the 1995 team. UCF with Duante Culpepper that year played Fla St. when they were rated No. 1 in 1-A and felt good because they only lost 42-14. The next week they came to Cowboy Stadium to play No. 1 I-AA McNeese and a pissed off, Kerry Joseph (pissed off because of all the press that Duante Culpepper was getting before the game, shredded them to win 49-7.
My second choice would be the 1980 Cowboys with Stephan Starring, Theron McClendon, and Bufford Jordan.
My third choice would be the 2002 or 2003 Cowboys.

Unless the team is actually riding horses like their mascot I think we got this.

Maybe this year's McNeese team but those teams were not far better than those previous McNeese teams mentioned above, and besides both of those teams are FBS teams whereas McNeese is a FCS team so they are expected to be better teams on paper.
McNeese and Troy used to be in the same conference 1996-2000.
McNeese was 3-2 against Troy during that time and is 7-5 all-time.
Tech has a winning record (24 W 13 L) over McNeese from their old conference days with McNeese and last played McNeese in 1990. Tech hasn't been to anxious to schedule McNeese in last 20 years; you should ask yourself why?
The 1995, 2002, or 2003 McNeese teams would have easily competed with either of those Troy or Tech teams and possibly beat them, and the 2007 and 2008 McNeese teams as well.
The 2008 team lost 35-27 to North Carolina and was tied at half and was in it until onside kick failed with a minute forty seven remaining.

Please do not insult McNeese like that.
McNeese has winning records against both of those crappy teams lifetime (vs ULL 20 Wins 15 Loses 2 Ties, and vs ULM 33 Wins, 11 Loses, and 1 Tie) and beat both of those teams soundly the last time they played them, including a 38-17 beatdown of ULL in 2007 and a 24-19 win over ULM in 2002 that was only close in score due to 2 long tds on broken coverage and a fumble return for a TD (McNeese had 329 yds rushing and 417 total offensive yards to ULM's 283).

LSU will gently put the MACKneese cowboys out to pasture, and basically enjoy a bye week.
