Analysis of force characteristics, levitation & instantaneous lateral
swervination coupled with the inelasticity of the damn strong O-line
can be described in the equation :
BH+AH(KWxQJ)+(CB+HJ)+(LH+JB) = KW [e=mc2] TD
Conclusion = Keiland gets first carry in 2008

who says we are moving to a spread option offense?
we ran a ton of it last year
crowton kept a lot of jimbo's offense, but it's apparent we're moving away from i-form
i-form is almost all running plays. crowton is a passing guy. i expect that to start showing in the coming years

I thought SFP was the one who was telling people last year that we are going to the "spread offense", not the "spread option offense". I agreed with that, but I guess he's changed his mind.
no you're misquoting me
crowton was a pure spread guy until oregon, then he incorporated spread option into it
he brought that to LSU

i don't know why fans (and miles/porter apparently)
quote:= consistent high percentage play.
value the BOOM BOOM play of a RB who will lower his shoulder and get 5 yards
quote:= not consistent.
RB who will make the defender miss and get 25.
i rather pound it for 5 plays and know there is a better chance at getting those 25 yards plus add to the time of possession. other team can't score if they don't have the ball. (a little maddenism for ya)
also those runs up the middle for 4 or 5 yards can set up that off tackle for 25 or to the house.

I said he rarely makes a guy miss and picks up 25. Not just rarely makes a guy miss.
because he doesn't get the ball enough. he easily had th best rate of this per touch of any RB lat year and in 2006

you made it sound like he was averaging 25 yards/touch.
no, only 7.5 ypt last year
his big play potential changes the way defenses have to play LSU. if you don't believe me, re-watch the 2006 season

hester fumbled more than keiland last year
and had 3x's the carries

while keiland definitely has the worst running play in 2007, he is a consistent runner for the most part
and the bust/boom is just from the 2nd level on. that presumes that he's already gotten to the 2nd level
i'm talking about what the RBs do after they are already into the LB level of the defense

i'm not criticizing hester
just disproving 2 myths at once (1st, that KW is a fumble worry in games and 2nd, that if you fumble you sit)

But LSU got positive yards on almost every carry and repeatedly had 3rd and short. Third down efficiency: LSU 11/18 Ohio State 3/13. Total plays: LSU 76 Ohio State 56.
That should be a sticky at the top of the board. Then when this argument starts... See sticky.
I wonder why that is so difficult for intelligent fans to grasp.

Here's another stat for you:
Jacob Hester got the ball 26 times last year on 3rd and 1-3 yards to go. He got 17 first downs and 7 TDs.
Bah I think I misunderstood those stats - he converted 17 out of 26 times, with 7 of those conversions going for first downs.

there is a huge difference in getting 50 or 10 on the 1 carry that breaks, however. just ask VT. or auburn (that was a reception).
not if you score on both drives...every thing we ran at VT worked and we had 500 yards vs. Auburn
