Why are some of you acting like there’s a college coach salary cap?

Who cares if it’s 2.0 million or 1.5 million? Pelini should be judged on his results on the field, not his contract. That’s where LSU is as a program right now.
TAF donations are up
Booster donations are up
TV contract money are up
$500,000 is a drop in the bucket if Pelini was Orgeron’s guy

It's what the market will bear. It's ridiculous college HCs make millions, but they do. If we got a guy for $500k, people would bitch because we went from $2.5mm to $500k in coordinators.

In a way yes. I’m not saying I’m necessarily against the salary. I’m saying why the optics of it have some people taken aback.
