Oh- and that certain local athletes should have the right to enforce a restraining order taken out (with the local police department) by a girl they met in a bar.

before the TRO existed!

It was a miracle, the players KNEW she was gonna get one a week later and were preemptive!

Who do people think they have a CLUE what JJ did? If you think you have a clue, go talk to the police. I hear they're looking for someone with a clue.

1. I don't know what he did. I've seen no compelling evidence to convince me that anyone posting on this site knows what he did.

2. It was a bar fight. My suspicion is that all parties involved behaved idiotically.

3. Yet, JJ is being tied to the stake.

4. The way the members of this forum, the BR community at large, and the BRPD have conducted themselves the last week has far surpassed the line of absurdity.

5. If he did kick someone in the head while they were down, he deserves some punishment for sure, but still not the crucifixion he is receiving.

6. Did anyone mention how absurd this all is?

I agree with you completely. Let the police enforce a restraining order, not private citizens.

What gets me is, you'd think these guys would be well aware of the risks involved and the certain bullshite that will follow getting into something like this. The team has been directly influenced by similar bullshite in the recent past. And I'm not speaking directly about JJ but all those that were involved.

people try to make it sound as though he was completely innocent.

I haven't seen one comment by any poster on here that says Jefferson is completely innocent, but I have seen dozens that say he was completely guilty and the "poor innocent victims" were innocent little angels and did nothing to provoke.

In case it was not evident before, the rant is not the place to come for logic. Just because some posters are not ready to drag this dude's name through the dirt without a compelling reason to do so does not mean they are condoning what he did, if in fact he did something. Which we still do not know. It's kinda like a reverse syllogism. Or if you prefer, all Choctaws are Indians but not all Indians are Choctaws.

Bar fight is no big deal. Boys being boys.

For anyone to make this big of a deal about it is insane and a sure sign of being a puss/whiney arse.

You get your arse beat, be a man and walk away licking your wounds. You dont go running home and call the cops. I would be ashamed to show my face again.

I'll tell you what I'm fricking SICK TO DEATH of. It's this topic. I'm ready to talk about X's and O's. I think I'm gonna puke if I hear one more self righteous assclown with a true north moral compass reading talking about what Jordan Jefferson did.

Everybody else is right. We don't even know the real story. So it's really a moot point to even talk about.

A lot of people are going to be extremely embarassed if the true story comes out that Jefferson wasn't the one that kicked the wife beater in the head.

Well, the fact that he and the other three where even investigated and talk to are amazing. Normally bar fights, especially ones that happen outside a bar are broken up, and finished with. No shots, stabbing etc, no foul.
Look, JJ was just walking across the parking lot and didn't see this guy on the ground and accidently kicked him in the head. If you would just watch him play football, you could understand this.

Some of you make these comments. Who cares. Lets get over it. Lets move on. That's not how life works in the adult world.. You just don't say lets move when you get tired of hearing about something and hope it will go away.

It's called responsibility. This event did happen. There will be an investigation. If JJ is found innocent, great. But if not, all the children who try to run away from life when it doesn't go their way, will realize that there is more to life than LSU football. If you want be an adult, be an adult all the time.

BRPD really shite their pants on this one. They went out in the media and started trying the case before they had all the facts. Then guaranteed a 2nd degree battery arrest, before they had even spoken to the players or any unbiased witnesses.

Gotta say, for the new police chief that just took over, he failed big time on his first true test. It's embarrassing. Should have just done their investigation without all the prediction shite.

Hey Reality, it was his girlfriend, not his wife. You are too ignorant to understand the facts that have already been established.

True- she didn't take one out on him until well after the fact, which raises an eyebrow, to me.

At any rate, IF all this crap was started over a spat between the little girl & the beatee, the player(s) should have minded their own fvcking business in the first place. The bottom line is that unless the situation is DIRE- it's best to not involve yourelf in other peoples' bullshite.

I'd wager that at this point- JJ has regrets.
