Trindon Holliday
anyone saying this is fooling themselves.
Holliday is 5'5" 160ish. He was wayyy too small for every day play in the SEC. There's a reason he's not making it in NFL
You have a better argument for a guy like Xavier Carter who's 6'3" and a speedster like Holliday. Who was nonexistent at LSU

Looking at this thread, seems another synonym for "wasted talent" is apparently "great white hopes."
Where's Adam McConathy and Thomas Dunson?

There are a lot of players that play well as a result of their abilities, but I seldom see a "developed" surprise.
I disagree. Lots of players have played better than they were advertised, probably due to coaching.
The switching of Devery Henderson and Josh Reed from the bowels of the running back depth charts to star receivers are two prime examples.
How about Kelvin Sheppard, T-Bob, Corey Webster, and a slew of freshman who have cracked the two deep in the past two years. Lots of talent there, but talent alone does not prepare these young kids to play at an elite level in the SEC.

Take that race baiting b/s to the political board.

Meant as a general observation. Not "race baiting." I promise.

If you have him as the #1 wasted talent you don't pay attention to the games. He had a very good college career.

Bret Bech. He ran good routes.

The qbs we had in the early 90's: Loup, Daigle
Don't know if I'd call Loup and Daigle wastes of talent.

I know most of you are talking about players that the coaches didnt develop or didnt get as many touches as they needed but..........
I will have to go with Ryan Perriloux! I agree with all of the others mentioned as being wasted talent as well..... but IMHO, he was the biggest. RP11 could have been a very good player!
Bring on Bama!! GEAUX TIGERS!!

Daigle: you're right
Loup: you're dead wrong

If we're going that route, it's got to be Cecil Collins, hands down.

Shaq......since you did not specify the sport.

He's not at the top of the list, but I expected more out of Terrence Toliver. As already noted, our 2010 QB play did him no favors.

Lets just say I think those two qbs had the talent to do better than they did and I don't think they were loafing either.
