re: Who would take Jimbo for 2020?

quote:
DESTIN — As Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher spoke about his team Wednesday during the SEC’s spring meetings, the wreckage he left behind in his previous job was still smoldering 140 miles east.
quote:
The Seminoles’ short-term future is more likely to resemble its immediate past
Fisher doesn’t see it that way.
“I think (Florida State is) in great shape,” Fisher said.
quote:
Except there’s little great about the shape Florida State is in. Attendance is down. Its academic progress rate is the worst among the teams in the Power Five conferences: ACC, SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac-12. Its budget faces a multimillion-dollar deficit. Its record over the past two years, 12-13, is its worst since 1975-76, and even a soft schedule might yield only seven or eight wins next season.
quote:
So, no, Florida State isn’t in great shape. The only question is how much blame Fisher deserves for the decline.
The answer: a lot.
quote:FSU did not become bowl eligible until after Jimbo had packed his bags and didn't even say adios as he rushed out the door.
The Seminoles didn’t make a bowl game at all last season, ending an NCAA record run of 36 in a row, and they didn’t make it to a good bowl in Fisher’s final year, either.
quote:
Fisher’s Seminoles were rotting.
The offensive line lagged at the end of the Fisher era as recruiting misses, misevaluations and injuries piled up. Running back Dalvin Cook was able to cover up some of the glaring holes, but the mediocrity was still there. It finally, disastrously, caught up to Florida State last season, when Taggart’s Seminoles had one of the worst offensive lines in the sport.
Why Jimbo Fisher deserves blame for FSU football’s mess
Jimbo single handedly DESTROYED the once proud Florida State Seminoles football program.

Aside from the fact it takes many to “destroy” a football program, the link you provided doesn’t even say that,

quote:
Fisher said the Seminoles he left behind are in ‘great shape.’ He’s wrong. And it’s partly his fault.
Like it not he did win them a National Title. Though I fail to see why you continue to care?

If we hire jimbo hes more than likely bringing his Cousin. And that would be a death sentence for his cousin so i doubt it.

Jimbo has already instituted some of his FSU BS at A&M.
This is Jimbo challenging a 12 year-old girl after FSU lost at home to Syracuse. He knew she couldn't get to him so he was a BRAVE MAN. She was pissed and would beat the holy crap out of him. I think it was the niece of the player behind Jimbo that was looking at her. He also knew she couldn't get to Jimbo.
Low-life breeds low-life. This is Jimbo's low-life nephew punching LSU special assistant coordinator Steve Kragthorpe in the chest. Kragthorpe is 54 years old and has Parkinson’s disease and a pacemaker.
Dumb fricking Low-Life Jimbo-kin while finding a very easy target to blindside forgot about 3-time Super bowl champion running back and LSU director of player personnel Kevin Faulk being on the sideline. He is low-life scum and obviously doesn't make up for it by being intelligent.
BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

LSU offensive analyst Steve Kragthorpe, 53, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2011 and has had a pacemaker in his chest to stimulate his brain since 2017, was punched in the chest by a credentialed man from the Texas A&M sideline.
That is when LSU director of player development Kevin Faulk, a former LSU and NFL star back from Lafayette, went after the man, whose identity has not been confirmed by Texas A&M.
quote:
"Out of nowhere, I got nailed," Kragthorpe said in a phone interview while he drove back home from the game Sunday afternoon. "I didn't go down, but I clutched over. I was like, 'Damn, he got me right in my pacemaker.' Then it started fluttering like he jostled it."
quote:
"I feel OK, but not as good as I was," Kragthorpe said. "I felt like he tore something in there. I will be seeing my neurologist in Baton Rouge on Monday."

the link you provided doesn’t even say that,
No shite Brainiac. The quotes are from the article. If it is not quoted they are my words. You can try to retain this lesson in the English language and use it in the future if possible. Won't hurt to try, or shouldn't, if you get a severe headache just let it go. I can explain it again for you.
You're welcome!!!

So in other words, you are drawing a conclusion not supported by the article you linked to support your own narrative. That sounds more like a personal grudge and reeks of insecurity. The insults and ad hominem attacks just show you to be pathetic.

I believe there is enough stated by the article for a NON-JIMBO lover to come to the same conclusion I did. I mean the article started off with this statement:
"DESTIN — As Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher spoke about his team Wednesday during the SEC’s spring meetings, the wreckage he left behind in his previous job was still smoldering 140 miles east."
It doesn't take a genius to look at the FSU program and figure this out.

Didn't mean for it to come off as an insult. Hell, I was being nice when I said I would gladly explain it to you again in case you could not retain the information. I don't do that just anyone.

Jimbo played A & M for fools. Despite better recruiting classes than Clemson,
they were falling farther behind them and drifting to mediocrity.
He got out and locked up a huge amount of guaranteed money before his reputation
went completely in the toilet

Sorry if posted before but frick jimbeaux, his lowlife relative, his even lower life assistant coach and the horse he rode in on. Gonna be hell to pay in November.

quote:no, but many good coaches do get great improvement in year 2. It doesn’t always take 4 or 5 years. Usually if a coach can turn around a program, they get results pretty quick.
All you have to do is read this board. Many posters have said if a coach doesn’t win in his 2nd year he won’t and date it back to 15 or so years ago.

Honestly I don't know where you'd look if Orgeron were to be outed this year. Ideally, you want a guy who has shown the ability to take a mid-to-lower tier team and get bowl eligibility and put some scares or upsets into the powers that be. This is how we landed Saban and Miles.
I think of guys like Matt Campbell
Bingo.

ahhhhhhh so that means he sucked at cincy? auburn? LSU? and FSU?
No. He was a head coach at only one of those schools. Yes, he won a National Championship but so did Larry Coker and Gene Chizik. The FSU football program nose dived under his watch. The QB whisperer had no answer when he lost Francois his last season. Worst season for FSU program in decades.
Hard pass on Jimbo.

That's a big no for me. Jimbo is a extortionist . LSU Football is in a upswing. Really excited for whats to come with this team and staff.

If O can't win at least 10 games this season it'll be time to start looking. I'm sure he would be at the top of the list. Sign him up
