It will be a rare sight for JJ to check all the way down to his 3rd option. He usualy takes off after looking at his primary WR, so we just as well put a blocker in the 3rd WR slot.

I know this was supposed to be a shot at JJ but even though "technically" it's the third WR, in a lot of plays the slot will be the first option or at least should be. The slot opens up a lot for not only the outside guys but the running game as well. He can stretch the field vertically and sit down in zones in certain situations when we need key first downs

I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 of those 3 beat out Shep as our #2 option

Not happening. Shep has that WR spot on lock now. His second year as a WR, expect good things.

What happened to Chris Tolliver?

He was a big time recruit a few years back.

Boone will emerge as our #2, pushing RS down to #3

I disagree. I think RS will do much better on the edges running speed routes than he did in the slot running slant routes over the middle. Plus, TigerRag's coverage of spring shows that his hands have really improved.

Boone and Landry are much more physical than RS. So they are better in the middle. RS has the speed so put him on the edge.

I'd be really surprised if he doesn't redshirt. It could wind up being any one of Wright, Boone, Landry, or Williams by the end of the year. Not enough separation by any of them yet, I don't believe. But I think Peterson will likely end up with the 3rd most yards receiving, whether he's lined up at "WR" or not.

I will ask Billy Gonzales tonight. He is speaking in Pensacola at the taf tiger tour. I am pulling for armand Williams. I think he is the hungriest of the receivers. His story is amazing, similar to the blind side. I think he was living in a car with his mom for a while. He has the most upside with his highjumping ability and I pull for the underdog! This kid has more heart than any player on the team

I'm certainly pulling for AW too. Would be a great story if he can make it to the NFL. He might need one more year of polishing though, before he's ready to break out. But with so many of our WRs around the 6'0" mark, it'd be nice if he could step up this year and provide another big body in the corps.
