Awe, y’all are that sensitive out there that signs get confiscated?

Honest question (article was tl;dr):

A plea deal by definition means he should've plead guilty to a lesser charge than a trial could convict him of. So what was the charge he accepted?

I find it hard to believe any mother would ruin a young man's life to win a custody battle if she knew for a fact he was innocent. That dog don't hunt in my book.

He may be guilty, but you are being very naive

I agree. After reading that article it seems very hard to determine if he is in fact guilty or not. Either way, I think he’s handled it about as perfectly as you can.

He even handled sitting out last year with much class.

I hope for the best with this kid, his family and his relationship with his brother Josh

... Except when he pitches against us. STTDB

That defense of this pedophile is complete bullshite. It was not in that story, but people run with it.

If it was simply a setup by an angry ex-wife, why does Luke's older brother, who is the victim's father, still not talk to Luke?

OK. I’ve actually studied this case. It’s fraught with every kind of weird business you can imagine from sealed juvenile records through domestic family law intrigues to future $$$$ to the media getting info they were serendipitously made privy to.

He pled guilty, an admission that...I did it.

No one can convince me he pled this for ANY reason other than he did it. Not with the facts I have studied.

I’ve seen other cases where a little girl may have been manipulated by mommy into saying made up things about daddy’s family.

Not this one.

My 2 centimes.

If be really did it, why does the brother still have a great realistionship with his parents who maintain Luke’s innocence, and how in the holy hell does that brother still attend functions with Luke?

That dog hunts both ways

Like I said, this is murky both ways

Oregon St. fans have a “who cares” attitude that their ace is a convicted sex offender.
WOW

Yep:

Why? Because it’s freakin’ TEXAS....not as in “Rangers”, but rather as in “State of...”
Home of Ted Cruz, Dan Patrick (Not the sports guy, but the Lieutenant Governor that blamed recent school shootings on abortion), and endless debates about who can use what bathroom.

Texas is ignorant and backwards for disliking pedophiles. Too bad we aren't as enlightened as they are.

Also interesting.,,,that poster equated child molesters with transgender people.

There is a victim out there.
She suffered enough. A sign or any focus on this crime by the fan base will only further attention on the victim and I am sure the poor girl wishes this would all go away.
He went through the legal system and that Lil girl had to endure that...I hope the fans let that sleeping dog sleep.

So you think the victim is cool with the star pitcher that’s about to make a ton of money getting nothing but glory and positive attention?

Does the fact that the mother didn’t win custody of the kids say something about her character? Usually the mother, of even remotely stable, wins custody
