Do you believe SEC losses carry more weight than out of conference losses?

I would say losing to Troy is worse than losing to any SEC team, sure.

except when Miles took over he had an OC that was with LSU for 5 years.
A good portion of the fanbase was unhappy with Jimbo, calling him too conservative and glad he left.
I guess you guys were around way back then shitting on Jimbo without yet knowing you were Orgeron worshipers .

No I haven't

If you dont think O is an upgrade over miles why does your panties get in a wad anytime someone questions actual football decisions after years of making personal attacks towards the last coach, along with questioning his football decisions?

I was extremely critical of O after losing to ND. Just bc I didn't crucify the offense for not getting a 1st down in the A&M game doesn't mean I thought the loss sucked. I just thought there was blame to assigned to everyone.

Don't act like under Miles we didn't go off on Chavis for losing some games...and there were times the offense was pretty inept in those losses.

Les took that one instance, and applied it to the rest of the season

Yep.

By the SECCG and NCG we had been figured out.

Bama came out throwing early in the NCG and we kept the same gameplan from the earlier game until the end.

I will admit, I figured he would be either fired or on a hot seat by now, so he has exceeded my expectations of what I thought HE was capable of

However, my expectations for LSU football will always be titles, so although he seems to be progressing nicely, he still has a ways to go.

this is correct. Jimbo got the blame for the Auburn loss in 2006.

2006 had the chance to be a NCG season as well.

Same here. The ending of that game was ridiculous.

I didn't ask that. I asked which carries more weight. When vying for the SEC championship, and a chance to play for the national title, which is more devastating, a loss to OOC (Troy) or a loss to an SEC team?

Irrelevant because team that loses to Troy will never make the playoffs.

I believe you're trying to frame this in a way to say that we can still win the conference while having such a loss, but again, irrelevant because a team that loses to Troy isn't winning the conference.

I will say losing to Wisconsin in 2016 had less impact on national championship hopes than losing to Troy in 2017.

you will never get an answer. Conference losses are always worse than ooc losses if winning a sec championship is the goal.

They get lost in it being Troy. I would take losing to Texas over losing to Auburn this year.

Yep.

It would still really suck though. But one OOC loss isn't going to stop you from winning the SEC.

I was typing...and you still skirted a real answer by throwing in you can't win sec or make playoffs with a loss to Troy.

Since yall like history so much, how many of the national champions in the last 20 years have lost on OOC game?

I didn't skirt anything, I just saw straight through the question.

Whut? We've been hearing about the awesome #6 finish as it relates to O's trajectory and success since it happened.

1 team has lost an OOC game and won the title in that time frame. 9 have lost a conference game, and one lost two as you so adeptly pointed out. So the statistics actual say it's better to lose in conference to win a championship.

Strictly an opinion. That is not fact, and even you know that.

Strictly opinion. The fact is, a team that loses to Troy can in fact win the SEC Championship. They could lose early in the season, have a bad game, bad break, and come back and crush as the season goes on. Probable, I wouldn't say. But to say impossible (which is what you are saying when you say irrelevant), strictly conjecture. Or clairvoyance?

I see your logic. But I will say that had we run the table either year, after either loss, we would have been in the NC game. Would you agree?

Simple common sense will tell you a conference loss hurts your chances at winning the conference far more than an OOC loss.

The vast majority of Non Cons are bad mid major teams or FCS teams.
