Mulligan 2011-12 game makes up for this fortune.

LSU was the best team in 07 and 11

You think 2017 was one of Bama's strongest?

Oh wait, I forgot it was Alleva's fault that O hired Canada.
Les would have kept Canada for 2 more years instead of realizing it ain't working. Les was hard headed. O isn't, he's willing to do what it takes to succeed more so than Les was.

Like promoting the long-time assistant who presided over the least productive position of Les' outdated offense to be offensive coordinator.

The frick does that have to do with the comparisons you were making? I should certainly hope we beat SELU And Tech, but of course 0 has lost games like that before Canada was objectively better the Ensminger. It's not even a question. Only a completely delusional moron would think it.

Yet you sit in the corner rubbing one out to 3 loss #6 finish by O.

Hypocrite much?

Why is it that we cant enjoy the momentum O is generating without someone coming in here, violating forum rules and trolling everyone about it with a false dichotomy?

O can be doing a good job right now and still not have proved himself to be an upgrade yet - and instead of allowing everyone to enjoy it- people come on here and make divisive posts and then attack responses as o haters trolls etc. Its simple minded as frick.

Miles best season by far was 2011. The difference between 2011 and 2007 was a rejuvenated Alabama program.

It's far more difficult to go 13-0 than 11-2.

How do you not see that O is hard headed also..he brought in a coordinator and wouldn't even let him do his job and it eventually got to the point where O's boss told O's coordinator to go around him and directly to him. He's the reason the offense shuts down when they get in field goal range. He's so hard headed he named a tight end coach Offensive coordinator just so he can control his every move

Nope, I'm strictly talking about his comparison to Les

Bama wasn't then the Bama that is now
What about 2011?

When Les went undefeated (until an unprecedented rematch) while beating bama at bama for his 2nd year in a row after bama went 14-0 and national champs ?

I don't need to. The product on the field explains it.

My bad. You see, I thought we were having a discussion about LSU football. You made an argument and I asked you to explain it and then you said you don't need to. I guess we aren't actually having a discussion. My mistake!

You're harping on one minor detail.

One loss versus two losses is NOT a minor detail in the college football world if you want to make the playoffs.

HE still needed other teams to lose to get in half the time.

He got in because his teams were in the top 4. Why is this so hard for you to admit?

Its not like he backed into a two team NC game because some random team beat a much higher ranked team in the last game of the season. Jesus!

Exactly, and while I would not have picked O to succeed Les, I give him props for implementing change.

3 of the 4 years we are talking about the Playoffs were not a thing, so not sure whey you're bringing that up.

Just say that Saban had to have some major luck for some of his championships as well. It's the truth.

Instead he had OSU miss a chip shot against a horrible unranked team, allowing the door to be open for the first application of the eye test. There is no need to deny reality.
