Who was the player of the game last night?

Obviously, Naz Reid get's the nod for his MONSTER 2nd half and OT, but Waters kept us in it every time State tried to pull away. Dude was leading a circus last night. Then, Bigby-Williams was our Dennis Rodman last night. The put backs were HUGE!
Reid - 29 points (game clincher), 9 RBs
Waters - 26 points, 4 RBs, 5 assists, 5 steals
Bigby-Williams - 14 points, 13 RBs
*Each of these young men played the entire OT with 4 fouls a piece.

To be honest, i think Bigby-Williams is the magic piece to our puzzle.
If we can have him average near a double double, the rest of the field needs to watch out.
The Naz and Waters duo is starting to heat up boys, buckle up. That is a filthy combo when running a pick and roll. Naz can pop or roll to the rim and feels comfortable doing both. Waters will kill you from deep if you go under the screen and will blow by you if you get picked at all by the screen.
Its going to be a great second half to the season.

Late in the 4th and in OT, Waters was drawing the double team at the top of the 3 point line
With Naz Reid knocking wide open 3s down, we can stretch anyone thin.
and, oh btw, Mays played 40 minutes last night and worked hard for his 7 points. He will play his way out of this hole. You can see that he's playing hard.
Smart was drawing that close man defense on the perimeter too...so many offensive weapons.

Waters is honestly one of the best drivers/finishers I have ever seen. He makes so many phenomenal shots at the rim against much taller players that I expect it now. His touch is almost perfect at the rim. That play when he threw one up with his left hand was incredible.
Naz took over and won it, but without Waters in the 1st 25 minutes or so, we wouldn't have even been in it because the rest of the team was ice cold.

Not Will Wade's barber
Whoever cut his hair messed that fade up bad

Honestly, each of them would be deserving.
I haven't read a whole lot from last night, because it's really become melt city around here, but the stat that jumps out to me is Lamar Peters was held to 0 points. He's an attacker, so limiting his shots and points is huge tip of the cap to the defense.

Waters is the mvp of the team. We go as far as he takes us. His ability to control a game in terms of tempo, facilitating the offense, obviously scoring, managing turnovers as the primary ball handler, etc.
He played great and clears the way for others to get flourish

I believe it was the Arkanasas game where Waters was inbounding the ball and the camera was behind him showing his point of view. It was down on the opponents side of the court. Seeing how fricking big these players are and hes 5'11" 165 is insane. I mean every player he plays against towers over him but he still finishes at the rim with ease and creates his own shots. When a player can make that look easy you know hes special.

He’s not 5’11. Making it even more impressive

Just glad he’s not a butt cut guy like Eaux tbh

If you have to pick one it's gotta be Naz, but you're right the other 2 are right behind him. Awesome finish. This team is so much fun to watch.

Going with Bigby-Williams.
Waters & Naz were unreal, but the kind of buckets Bigby-Williams gets are so deflating to the other team. Getting a stop on D only to have him put back an Off Rebound or getting a new shot clock is huge down the stretch.

Personally, I think O, Wade, and Mainieri should all have the same haircut...the classic west bank fade.
Make a fricking statement!

Our offensive rebounds have kept us in the last several games. KBW was huge last night. Total team effort.

If Bigby would stop jumping at every pump fake he would be incredible. No doubt, he has been a huge part of our success but if he would just wait for the other guy to jump before he jumps... he would be so much better.
He surprises people with his touch in the post area too.

All of them. And they all did a good job of playing smart with 4 fouls for a while, until KBW at the end.

MAys needs to turn it around

I'll give it to reid. We needed someone else to step up and he came through.

I'll go with Waters but all three played great. If Reid and Bigby-Williams can put up those kind of numbers every night, the Sky(ler)'s the limit.
I also continue to love Smart's game. He just fills whatever need, whether that's to be a scorer, facilitator, or just defer to others when they have it going.
