Russell.

The only time I ever remember him losing the game for us was @UF in 06. I don't blame him for the AU game in 06 or the SEC title game in 05.

Although I'm not crazy about our current quarterbacks and don't think either are good enough to play right now, I'll root for whoever plays.

The main thing that should be taken from this thread is that everyone we talk about didn't see playing time until they were a sr or a 5th yr sr. with the exception of JR.

Not saying JJ or JL will be one of these guys, just saying they weren't put in a very good situation.

Do you think you would have the same faith in Mauck, Rohan, Flynn if they had significant playing time as Fresh or Soph? (I know Mauck was a soph but he was like 26yrs old.)

Tommy Hodson

they could at least throw to recievers....the only thing about Wickersham was he was extremely streaky...but when he was hot he was hot..Hodson was great for FOUR YEARS!!!!

Call me stupid, I don't care but I never really saw what was so special about Matt Flynn. I always said RP should have been the starter over Flynn.
RP was the best QB I've seen in quite a while.

I'm waiting on Chris Garrett and Zack Lee. They are where our hope for a decent future resides...

Maybe something like Matt Flynn forcing the interception in overtime against Ar-Kansas in the last game of the season. He had plenty time and forced it anyway. Luckily....Pitt played their best game of the season a week later.

Loved Flynn....but he had plenty "stupid plays".

Flynn's first half against Arkansas in 2007 was terrible. We had a chance to put that game out of reach five minutes in but could only manage two field goals instead. He also had a lot of help from Perrilloux in 2007. Just as they said Chris Leak couldn't have won it all in 2006 without Tebow, I feel like Flynn wouldn't have won it all in 2007 without Perrilloux. I believe RP was involved in a late touchdown against UF in 2007.

It also felt like we relied more on gimmicks in 2007 than in 2006. LSU needed that fake field goal against South Carolina. LSU needed RP to come in for that change of pace.
