If Tommy Hodson had the supporting cast that recent LSU teams had and have, LSU would habe gone undefeated.

Jamarcus...Flynn...and Perilloux were all gamers. Jamarcus had other world natural gifts and Flynn got the most out of what he had. Perilloux could have been the most complete qb if he had possessed the ability to harness his massive potential. JL and JJ both have suffered from having to attempt too much...too soon.

Russell tbh. Dont let his pro career warp your memory. That dude was money at LSU.

I can't see how so many people say this. Russell had a huge arm, with no accuracy. He had amazing WR's that let him get away with bad throws, and he always blew in big games. He is the exact same QB now as he was at LSU, it's just he can't get away with the mistakes he makes at the pro-level.

Jamarcus, but for me it was more the WR's. Don't believe me?

+1
This is exactly what I was saying!

FAIL

So you don't consider the Sugar Bowl a big game? I seem to recall he torched Notre Dame and solidified his status as the #1 pick in a head to head match up with Brady Quinn. Seems like a pretty big setting to me.

I'm sorry, but Matt Flynn was a completely mediocre QB...he, like Matt Mauck almost blew our NC hopes

Jamarcus is the clear answer here

What are you smoking?
Flynn and Mauck both won NC for us! They didn't turn the ball over and always put us in position to win.
Flynn >>>>>>> JR
Mauck>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> JR

No but are you?

Please find me some videos where he throws a great ball that the WR doesn't have to make a play to catch the ball.

We have 2 crystal trophies to back it up. JR has nothing and will prob never play in the pro's again.

the game where he went 18-20 w/ 3 TDs was all spectacular plays by the WRs huh? Completing 68% of his passes on the season is inaccurate? GTFO, idiot

Yeah ok...

This is a perfect example... guy was double covered, and if it was a better CB on Bowe, it could have been an easy pic.

Russell was not and still isn't a leader on the field. If anyone wants proof, fly over to Oakland and see if he's in shape. To be able to talk the other 10 guys in the huddle to follow your lead and have a common shared goal takes a lot more than what JR can ever offer.

Is he a bad guy, certainly not, just not a leader-type QB.
