I had confidence in Flynn. He made a lot of good plays. Our defense was not worth crap that year and forced us into a lot of shootouts. They sure showed up against Tennessee an tOSU though!

In 2006 I started getting excited every time I saw Russel drop back, same with Davey at the end of 2001.

Russell..NO WAY.. Remember the Auburn game,.

Well, he certainly did not succeed in that game, but he had a whole lot of other games in which he was amazing at pulling the game out at the end.

Davey, Mauck, Jamarcus, and Flynn. I have no confidence in the current pair of undercoached, underachieving QBs on LSU's roster. But I blame the lack of proper coaching more than I blame the players themselves. This LSU coaching staff is squandering immense amounts of talent at QB and most other skill positions on O and D.

Matt Flynn, before that JR, before that Mauck (kinda) and Herb Tyler, then Hodson.

Confidence is subjective for each person. For me.

Herb Tyler - Shakey the first two years then confident enough the next two.

Booty - Only confident he'd screw up or run out of bounds on 4th down instead of trying for the extra yard.

Rohan - Way confident.

Mauck - very confident

M. Randall - kind of confident after the South Carolina game after Mauck got hurt in the UF game. After the next game in Auburn I lost all confidence whatsoever.

JR - Confident. He might mess up here or there, but he was a talented solid QB that didn't take you out of the game.

Flynn - Confident. His running ability helped as his arm wasn't that great, but he was good enough for the most part.

RP - Confident in his ability as a QB, not as a member of society.

Hatch - No confidence

J. Lee - Thought he might be ok after his performance in the Auburn game where Hatch got hurt and he threw a big TD pass. Went downhill after that.

JJ - Ehhhhh. Mediocre QB. I don't think he will win a game for us, which makes things harder on our offense.

Flynn. I had the type of confidence where I knew he'd come through in a tough situation.

Russell, 2006. We annihilated a number of teams, and he was money in the Ole Miss and Tennessee games. We'd have gone 13-1 or 14-0 if he'd stayed in 2007.

um, we were losing to ole miss like 20-7 in the 4th quarter, an ole miss team that didn't win a conference game in 2006. he had one good pass in the ole miss game that was lucky as shite

I'm sorry, but Matt Flynn was a completely mediocre QB...he, like Matt Mauck almost blew our NC hopes

Jamarcus is the clear answer here

Easy answer. Jamarcus. At the end of his career at LSU, he was practically unstoppable. It took him a little longer to get it, than I would have liked; however, at the end, he was pretty special.

Flynn always seemed a little shaky to me. He never seemed "at ease" on the field. I could never put a finger on exactly why I felt that way. Perhaps, it was because he really only had one year at the helm, and he was hurt for a significant portion of that year.
