Obviously some guys played 4 years, others just two or one that's why I used # of plays stat (combined rushing and receiving). No kick returns included.

Billy Cannon: 390 plays, 2389 yds, 6.1 avg, 21 TD

Charles Alexander: 904 plays, 4466 yds, 4.9 avg, 42 TD

Dalton Hilliard: 1002 plays, 5183 yds, 5.2 avg, 50 TD

Kevin Faulk: 909 plays, 5157 yds, 5.7 avg, 50 TD

Cecil Collins: 73 plays, 607 yds, 8.3 avg, 3 TD

Joseph Addai: 556 plays, 3217 yds, 5.8 avg, 24 TD

Jeremy Hill: 371 plays, 2410 yds, 6.5 avg, 28 TD

for reference
Leonard Fournette: 194 plays, 1161 yds, 6.0 avg, 10 TD

My choice is Jeremy Hill fwiw although a lot of you wont agree.

Hill and LF7 look strong in that group.

Most talent: Collins.
Best Player: Faulk, Hilliard, Hill

Fournette has played one season. I think he can be about like Hill.

It's too hard to single out one guy. You can tier them though and that's a pretty strong list.

Hill truly was an animal. Didn't realize he had that many TDs either.

If Cecil could have stayed on the straight and narrow and also not gotten hurt man he would have won a Heisman.

Cecil Collins needs to be thrown out of that bunch.

Best RB hands down is Kevin Faulk. Think about the teams he played on. Went on to have a lengthy NFL career, though I realize your only asking about LSU play.

Tossup between Cannon and Faulk IMHO. Faulk had the complete package as most on here will know. As for Cannon, imagine a guy 6'2" 220# who ran a sub 10 second 100 yard dash and played both ways in an era when running backs really had to manufacture their own yards; no road graders blocking for them. I do believe that if LF stays healthy he could leave after 3 years as the consensus number one; he's that good.

Cecil's career was less than 4 games. Different eras so hard to judge. I saw them all but Cannon. Certainly glad they were all Tigers.

you need to include Jim Taylor

but its Hill so far. we'll see in the next two years if LF can take that spot from him.
