I don't care if it's a bunch of walk-ons. It's still fun to watch the team play and a lot of kids will get the opportunity to play in a bowl game! I have my tickets!!!

I really hope not. It's late on 12/28 and the SEC is winless. Just watched MS State get embarrassed. As nice as it seems to say let the 3rd and 4th stringers get a chance under the lights, just remember that a horrible bowl performance goes into LSU history that will be looked back on with a regrettable commentary. Remember that bowl game we played in without a qb, head coach or starters? Boy was that ugly. It'll carry a stink through history.

So basically what you mean if LSU isn’t in the playoffs you don’t see the point of it
A bowl game in a normal year that doesn’t include low numbers due to a terrible end to O’s tenure, an undersized interim staff, and a completely makeshift offense would still be fun to watch. I’m all for LSU playing in a bowl game and focusing on the young, up and coming players with the staff they will be playing for the next season.
None of that is happening this year. We are barely fielding an FBS team as things stand. The important thing for the young players was bowl practice and we got though that. I’m fine with the game happening, but I am very skeptical that it actually will.

Hysteria? Did you lose a 55 y/o healthy family member from it? Or one that was 43 and a hard worker (scaffold builder)? The 55 y/o had it in 2020 then caught it agin in 2021. Unvaccinated. I’ve lost many of my friends and while they would have likely died from something else in the next 3-5 years, this took them out. It was a total of 15 friends and family. All unvaccinated (before vaccines).
Yep actually lost my brother on July 27th. Unvaccinated by his choice because he refused to let someone tell him what to do. Not healthy, 60 years old overweight, COPD, diabetes, Parkinson’s etc, etc. he is someone that should have probably gotten the shot. But that was his choice. Yes I still say hysteria when they are giving 5 year olds shots for it when they aren’t getting sick and it is rare for it to effect a young healthy person and when medical professionals are playing games and not treating people with Covid properly and using it for political reasons so frick you!!!

The guys who aren’t injured and don’t have Covid need too play. Looking at you Damone.

Yes, I agree with the posters saying Jimbo is afraid of that 5th loss. Plus, the fact that the “12th Man” schitck literally comes from letting walk-ons cover kick-offs should have been their rallying cry to send out whomever they had. All this being said, watching Ian Book play for the Saints was brutal. Hope everyone can laugh it off if we lose 35-9 to freaking K-State

Do I think healthy young people need a vaccine? Probably not. People over 50 or with preexistjng conditions? Yep
Well thanks for your opinion. Both of my Sisters have been fully vaccinated and both still caught Covid.
I work with 2 younger guys (both in their 30s) and both were vaccinated and both still caught Covid. One case was mild and the other was a little more severe.
The NFL has many cases (Saints had 22 vs Miami) and the NFL Players are vaccinated. How can it be that the vaccine can’t even protect the most healthy and young in the Country?
Young players are catching the crap all over the Country. Young people should be fine and many will be asymptomatic.
There is much proof that these so-called vaccines do not work and this idea that the vaccine may lessen the symptoms of the Virus is ridiculous. Hell Ibuprofen and Tylenol will lessen the symptoms.
It is a damn Virus and isn’t going anywhere. Herd Immunity is what is going to take place whether we agree or not. A mask will not protect you and this “vaccine” is extremely limited at best. If someone wants to take it then fine but if someone chooses not to then that is his/her choice as well.
The only thing that gets me about all this is why does anyone act like these ”vaccines” actually work when there is clear proof that they don’t? Then some act like if anyone unvaccinated gets Covid that “only if they were vaccinated” they would have been fine when there is tons of evidence that vaccines are not working. To each his own.

The vaccines keep you from getting a bad (read hospitalized) case not from getting a positive test. It is not a coincidence that the hospitals in many places are filling up mostly with cases in unvaccinated people.
Until 90% + of people over age 5 get the vaccine, we will keep having these spikes that disrupt normal life.

So you agree the narrative changed.
College football players are not at risk and should be able to play if they feel well.

Historically, when there have been viral pandemics, the virus in question weakens over time. The first wave of the Spanish Flu hit in 1918 and was basically as deadly as the ordinary flu two years later. This was despite it having caused anywhere from 17 to 50 million deaths worldwide, according to estimates.
The Omicron variant is reportedly not as deadly as previous ones, and we're coming up on two years since the first COVID outbreak. Do vaccines work or is the virus weakening? Either way, many people don't trust the information they are being given.
