3-4 series ? Hell,no. No one is going to confuse Lee with Bert Jones but hell's bells, why mess up with what was accomplished in September.

Let JJ have a series or two in the second half of some game when we're up by 24 or more.

it wont be 3-4 series. It'll be maybe 5 or 6 snaps in certain situations

That's about 5-6 too many. I've seen LSU with the 112th ranked offense in the country, no thanks.

Jefferson honestly had a pretty solid last quarter of the season. He played well against Ole Miss and had a solid game vs. Arkansas.

I think if he'd thrown a few touchdowns after the first game of the season last year people would be more receptive to him

In what, 2 or 3 games? Besides Florida, and the end of Tennessee, what other games did he play significant snaps in? ULM and McNeese?
from UT game through the Arkansas game Lee got multiple series in EVERY game. He had a least one full series in each half of every on of those games (8 games). You think JJ should get that much time this year?

I have no problem with 5-6 snaps. I have a major problem with multiple series per game.

Bump for day crew. Anyone think its a good idea for JJ to get a few series per game? Is this not wasting valuable possessions?

miles said he may use JJ similar to Lee last year. Lee didn't okay just 5-6 snaps per game. Lee got multiple series.

But Lee only came in when JJ was struggling really...

2010: 86th ranked total offense
2011: 88th ranked total offense

At first, yes. Lee started getting playing time in UT game b/c JJ had been struggling. After UT game, Lee got consistent playing time in ever game up until the Cotton Bowl. Lee usually came in on the third series. He recieved multiple series in ever game with at least one series per half. It was scheduled playing time, not just because JJ was struggling in a particular game.

way too much, unless we are WAAAAY ahead of KY and Less wants to give him the practice

It would be an opportunity for ZM as well.

I think that you're looking at it wrong--which is understandable since you have an irrational hatred of Les--but Lee came in when our offense sucked last year. I think that is when JJ will come in this year. If Lee is moving the ball and scoring touchdowns, JJ will remain on the bench. That's what Les means, not a number of plays or series. But again, you're a dumb frick hater looking for any reason to hate. So hate away, hater.

Against Ole Miss and Arkansas, 2 games where Jefferson played well(relatively speaking), Lee was barely involved. 4 snaps(2 passes) against Arky, and 6 snaps(4 passes). If that's the plan for JJ, I have no problem with that at all.

Since you like stats, post the scoring efficiency of the teams if you don't have an agenda and rankings of competition faced. TIA.

@your 11 wins comment. Your right if somebody else was the starter we probably have 13. Thank you for pointing that out.

People actually credit JJ with 11 wins last year?

not gonna be 3-4 series per game, perhaps 1 in the first half and situational (down and distance type) plays here or there.

that said, and I speak as someone who believes that Lee should be the starter and should have been or at least had many more snaps and series last season, JJ is capable and the A&M performance was as good if not better than any game Lee has played this year.

IF JJ can play like that and with the way we are calling plays and designing gameplans this year, if JJ can make a quick read and let the ball fly, something that Krags has drilled into these guys, JJ can be effective no matter how many snaps he gets

If he cant and Lee continues to play well he will see the field less and less as time goes by.

truly amazing, our starting QB, who played really well in the Cotton bowl just returned to the team and everyone is acting like this is bad news...

Were you going to make a list of the other games he played well in?

Your sentence could have also been worded, "truly amazing, our former starting QB, who played well in 1 of the 14 games where he was the starter just returned to the team and everyone is acting like this is bad news that he might take away snaps from our current starter who has played well in 4 of the 4 games where he was the starter."

If I was Lee and JJ started getting 3-4 series a game I'd be pissed. There is no reason to take away that many reps from Lee this year.
