Nuss does not look like the guy! Can Collins beat him out or do we need to hit portal?

We will bring in a portal QB but it’s likely for depth unless somehow you get the opportunity for a Jayden Daniels type player

You idiots sure are reactionary. When given practice time to prepare (last year before UGA because they knew Daniels may not be able to go and the bowl game), he’s looked very good. All we’ve seen this year is him coming off the bench ice cold.

Look at the development of Daniels under Denbrock and Sloan. With all the 1 reps in the offseason, a great OL and group of RBs and a lot of young talent still at TE and WR, the weapons will be there. It’s more likely than not that Nuss will be just fine. It’s stupid and reactionary to panic based on some garbage time snaps.

Nuss unless someone transfers in that we can’t keep off the field.

Hopefully he makes a big jump after taking all the #1 reps in spring and fall camp.

He’s at a bit of a disadvantage though give the weapons we are losing.

How would he "look" were he to be a 5 year starter next year?

I don’t get it with Nuss. He has a hell of an arm and he did so well against Georgia in Atlanta last year but each time he’s seen the field this year has been super lackluster. He has the ability but it just isn’t transferring to the game.

Nuss and you will shed a tear watching WRs repeatedly hit in stride and on time

The real question will be WRs…we’ve given all the reps to primarily 4 WRs..two will be headed to the NFL and the remaining two have suspect hands

Daniels was hurt going into the SECCG. Nuss took a lot of the 1 reps in practice. He got equal reps for the bowl game. Anyone who thinks this doesn’t make a difference over coming in cold off the bench doesn’t know anything about football.

Depends on who enters the portal. Nuss isn’t a guaranteed thing

The staff has done a good job improving Nabors and Thomas, so that shouldn’t be an issue. There is plenty of young talent. We just need some guys to step up into those roles. Unless you are ready to give up on Sampson and others before they even get an opportunity.

There are no guarantees, but there isn’t a lack of talent at WR between the young guys we have and those coming in.

Hilton,Lacey nor Anderson are #1 receivers. Best case we have a couple of #2 receivers. In a scenario like this, your TE needs to be a difference maker. The talented TEs we claim to have are lacking passing game targets

They need to sign one of the 3 second string QBs from Texas.

Nuss and Collins are not the QB for LSU, they need to get more competition by signing someone from the portal.
