With John Battle being suspended for the first half, who would you like to see get the start at free safety?

Jacoby Stevens? Todd Harris? Eric Monroe? Someone else?

I think Jacoby is locked in at the OLB position for pass rush. It would be nice to see what Monroe could do but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't start. Remember both of these guys could still be a little banged up. Its possible one of the corners could start there as well.

It is noteworthy Monroe and Harris haven't played at all this year so far...obviously due to injury but who knows how they are this week.

Stevens, 6 foot 2, 225 pounds, is working with the outside linebackers as a part of expanding his versatility in defensive coordinator Dave Aranda's defense.

"It's a position that we think that he can play very well," Orgeron said on the SEC coaches teleconference. "This is not a (full-time) move.

"This is something we've done with other payers. He can play outside linebacker and also play safety. He can also play the nickel. This is a very versatile position that we put him in. We think that he'll be great at it."

They’ve both played S during games this year so I think you have your answer.

Coach O said Monday that Harris will be back so he will be playing there.

I personally think Kelvin Joseph would be an elite centerfield type safety, and is so versatile from that spot (if you need him to come down and cover the slot etc)
