I think it should and will be Nola Friday.

I'm not worried about Nola facing pressure, nothing seems to faze him. But I think Gausman's pitch count last week plus the seawolves prob throwing their #2 guy (not tyler jones), that I may throw Nola.
Not to mention Gausman prefers saturday.

He hasn't thrown a Saturday game all year.

I meant a radio interview where he stated he'd prefer to pitch us into Omaha

If this game goes to Sunday, I will be scared with this seemingly high scoring offense of Stony Brook against Eades. Batters hit .287 against him.
He is pretty good at getting out of jams for the most part, though.

If we are going to win it all, we are going to need Eades to come up big for us at some point, with that said, I'd rather it be in Omaha, he could use a week off

I'd pitch Nola. No need to pitch Gausman on 1 day short rest after he threw 130 pitches.

The difference of 5 days off compared to 6 days off is negligible.

The rest and the 130 pitches will not play a factor in the decision. He will be more than ready Friday. I personally would pitch gausman on Friday. If we win, come back with eades on sat vs their ace. Then have Nola vs their number 3 on Sunday.

I know it's not conventional but if their ace shuts our bats down on sat, which has been know to happen, I would hate to waste a good start by Nola. I know PM wouldnt do this, just saying I would.
I think it would be almost a guaranteed win with Nola vs their number 3 on sunday

LSU hasn't let pitchers dictate how they are going to hit during a game, no matter how good or bad they are. LSU hits aces and gets shutdown by nobodies...and vice versa.

I think it is wishful thinking to think Eades' issues are simply fatigue related.

Of course its wishful thinking, but it can't hurt

Gausman threw this past Saturday

We can't expect Eades to go out and win a game for us. LSU knows they'll have to score some runs with him starting. He's had a strange year considering he was ace material coming into the season.
