Do you know how many people said what you said at the present school kiffin works for? I wonder how that's working out for them?

Yeah I'm not sure where the Kiffin picks are coming from.
Lane Kiffin will never be LSUs head coach, and I'm quite frankly surprised anyone would want him, as there is zero chance of it happening. He was fired from USC, he will not be the head coach at LSU ever.
I'd rather keep Miles if our only choices were Miles or Kiffin. Fortunately, those aren't our only two choices.

Herman
That's it. We're fricking LSU, hire Herman and show some fricking ambition.

Fisher
Herman
Fedora
Lane Kiffin failed at USC and Tennessee, no thanks. Apparently people have short memories.
Art Briles offense working in the SEC, i'm not sure. No thanks.

Not sure what that's for... Lane Kiffin should not and will not ever be HC at LSU. Only even remote chance of it happening would be in some interim capacity if he ever became our OC and the HC got fired or left.

Herman. I've heard people saying Mario Cristobal was being mentioned for a few HC vacancies last year but I cant see it with his body of work at FIU.

You guys should replace Cam Cameron and give Les another year. LSU defense will be stellar this year, and your schedule isn't easy, but two more losses is the floor, IMO.
Look what happened at ND and Michigan when they had a revolving door of HC's.
I agree, however, that with your talent you shouldn't be losing to the likes of Wisconsin. Understand your frustration.

USC- screwed by NCAA sanctions
Tenn- would likely be an actual CFP contender if Kiffin was still their coach
Nonetheless, he's got HC experience and has now coached under the greatest NCAA coach of all time for multiple seasons. I'd hope he's picked up a thing or two on running a program.

said it last year at the end of the season. Lane Kiffen.period.
He isn't a good HC
he is a good OC
those two aren't the same.

We're not even sure if Herman would want the LSU job, he turned down SC this past offseason. Plus, you have to wait out and see what goes on with Texas and Texas A&M after this season. Those two are "home" for him, and can and will offer him more money if it came down to it. Not to mention, if UH gets a Big 12 invite, he may just stay there.
ETA: I also realize SC isn't on the same level as LSU...

Herman or Fisher.
But we are now in a predicament.
Even if Alexander, Alleva, and TAF do everything right, we are not guaranteed an A-list coach.

Who is on your HC short list?
This is a simple answer it is called the Tom Herman sweepstakes!
And last night you can bet that LSU put its HAT "pun intended" in the ring. It would be awesome to get him, the right age enough experience, recruits really well and he can flat out coach. And if what he has done coaching isn't enough for anyone here is an added bonus kind of lagniappe for us all as to why we should go after him and pay whatever it is we need to pay to get him. I can promise you Saban does not want to see Herman at LSU!!!!! Herman is the guy and LSU will be the school to dethrone Saban/Bama that I guarantee if it would happen.

Personally, I think Fisher is still in play. It was done last year, and it'll happen again.
A very good argument could be made that Herman would be the better choice, but I bet they go straight back to Fisher and close the deal this time.
