I would say Florida is by far the game everyone looks forward to but I have a feeling Alabama could be that game in the near future

I've always felt that OM is our biggest. But lately, Bama might take the cake.
THe think about LSU is that we really don't have a rival. All the other schools in the SEC that have rivalries have other teams in the state. All we have is Tulane, so . . .

Used to be Ole Piss but they suck real bad so now I'd say it's Auburn.

I think the general concensus is that Bama will end up being one of our biggest rivals because of Saban.

answer is...we don't really have one and it varies from sport to sport and year to year

ETA- the last 10 years our games with Auburn have been the most "intense"

Auburn definately, UF and LSU is always a great matchup, but Alabama is climbing the ladder of rivals. Ole Miss used to be our big one but they've been rather irrelevant for a while.

That board is pure gold. I've been reading it for a few years and it cracks me up non-stop. Sucks if MSU gets good some of the great jokes might go away.

Like many mentioned; at one time Ole Miss - it was a great rivalry. Now I'd have to say it's Alabama.

My grnadfather taught me to hate Ole Miss first and Alabama second. All other "rivalries" are johnny-come-latelys....Auburn is making a move to replace Ole Miss as a rival though.

True

And to those of you saying "look at Oxford after LSU leaves town," I got news for you also, that happens everywhere. Just ask any fan from any school and the worst fans in the SEC are unanimously LSU fans.

possibly

You want to call it a rivalry, fine. A bunch of student government types want to call it a rivalry, fine. But the average coon arse couldn't point Oxford out on a map.

Indeed

I agree with everybody that said it was Ole Miss, right now it's Auburn (we're definitely not theirs), and within a couple years it'll be Bama.

Right now, Auburn.

By next year, likely Bama.

Every year in the forseeable future, Florida.

In the future, Arkansas.

Arkansas, like LSU, doesn't have a true natural rival. Our rival was Ole Miss but they haven't had much significance in the last few decades.

Arkansas's last true rival was Texas (albiet Texas's rivals have always been OU and A&M). It's only natural that Arkansas and LSU will become chief rivals over the course of time. In fact, in my view its a foregone conclusion.

The LSU/Arkansas rivalry is only going to get more intense as a natural border war. Arkansas has a lot of tradition and doesn't seem to string as many bad years football wise as Ole Miss does.

Arkansas last year nearly kept us out of the national title game yet luckily stars were aligned and things worked out.

It's our last regular season game and there will be a number of years where that game will determine the SEC West title. I have a feeling upcoming generations will learn to hate Arkansas more than Ole Miss.
