Fournette seems to have a huge burst of speed at take-off. He looks like a rocket taking off.

Plus his vision of the field is phenomenal which puts him heads & shoulders above anyone in the NCAA today.

You right.

And I was wrong about that being Guices JR year time. It wasn't his JR year, it was his sophomore year. Didn't run track his JR and SR season.

I failed across the board on that post

I am gonna say Fournette, but he is a very smooth runner. So it almost doesn't look as fast unless you see how bad he is toasting a CB if that makes sense.

Guice's style if pretty furious, no where near as smooth, but very quick.

all about football speed. In pads with defenders around; Fournette 7 Days a Week

This is the right answer. Football speed and track speed are 2 very different animals

Guice looks like he can average 150yds/game with enough carries.

Crazy how different they run, Fournette looks so poised and decisive and knows exactly where he's going and exactly how he is getting there. Guice runs like a Crackhead that just ate a pack of sweet tarts and washed them down with two 5 hour energy shots (arse long as those suppliments are approved by the NCAA)

Nice analysis!

Mmmm no way anyone runs sub 5 in 100 meters.

May want to reread your post.

I'd say guice is faster but and quicker but fournette is just so fast so his size it's misleading plus he can hit and take a hit.

That's not too objective for a comparison

I thought your comment painted a pretty good and accurate description. Don't get why these people are calling you out on it.

Straight ahead speed = LF

Change of direction speed/agility = Guice

Wait for the nfl combine. Then it will be settled. I doubt either lf7 or dg5 runs a sub 4.4 forty at the combine. Th8 ran a 4.34 and ran a 10.01 100m at LSU.

Fournette looks like a 4.4 guy. Guice is fast too.. but shifty quickness.

Fournette is probably the fastest on the team.

When it comes to straight-line speed Donte Jackson is the fastest, and it's not even close.

Fournette is around the fourth or fifth fastest player, but considering he outweighs most of them by more than 25 pounds, that's pretty damn impressive.
