Who I think the starting QB should be

I am a high school football coach and have been around the game a long time but I am not saying I am an expert and this is just my opinion.
Judging by stats and arm strength Myles is the guy, numbers don’t lie.
The biggest thing for me is looking at one play, 3rd and 17.
Out of the two QBs, which one would be able to come close to making the play Burrow made on 3rd and 17?
Myles has the arm strength but does he have the pocket awareness and quick enough feet to make the play??
I don’t think he does.
This is where Max excels past Myles. Max may not have the arm strength but I think he is better in the pocket and has the legs to get him out of trouble better than miles can. In 2019, how many times did burrow use his legs to get out of trouble and then make a play down the field? Can miles come close to that? The answer is no. Can Max replicate Burrows ability to get out of trouble? Probably not to Burrows extent but he could possibly get there, and is definitely better than Myles in that area. Will Miles or Max be able to withstand an all out blitz from a bama D and make a play? I think Max is the better in this situation.
Again, this is just my opinion and I think if Myles is the starter he will do great things and win many games. Myles is a good QB but in a 3rd and 17 situation can he get it done.
I never thought I would ever see the day LSU had two great QBs and it was hard to choose the starter but here we are. This season will be fun no matter who the starter is.
GEAX TIGERS!!
For fricks sake I fixed the spelling of Myles name for the literacy nazis

From a coach's POV, does Max being left handed create problems for defenses used to seeing right-handed QBs?

Who is this miles guy? Thought we got rid of him

Nobody cares what you think.
Being a high school coach give you zero insight into exactly what is happening inside the LSU football facility. You have no real idea what the coaches are seeing or wanting to see from MB or Max.
Instead of long drawn out post, you may as well have just said “I want Max to start and you should agree with me because I coach high school ball”.
And you can’t even spell his name right.

Youtube
He made a couple of plays like this one @ the 35 second mark last season. He isn't a running threat but showed he has what it takes to buy time in the pocket.
Another @ 1:06 & 2:13

Whichever QB scores the most points in the red zone, has the most yardage and fewest turnovers.

Being a QB is not only about passing. It's about the full package and Max Johnson's full package far exceeds Myles Brennan's full package.

Brennan will start, if he wasn't he would have already entered the portal

Here’s a little tip for you. You lose credibility fast if you can’t even correctly spell the name of the player you are arguing in favor of.

This. Every HS coach worth a grain of salt should know better.

Dude you need to relax. Your post might be the most unnecessarily negative thing I've read on here in a long time.

Damn guys, I misspelled Myles name, it was an honest mistake. I coach/teach a Miles and that’s what probably threw me off. Once again I am sorry ??

I just said that because so many on here like to say that Myles stats are so much better and grant you they are better but in my opinion Myles is not the better QB.
