yeah not extremely worried.

i do think we need to reset our expectations of what this defense will do statistically, given the pace of our offense. but i dont see any offense outside of bama that should score more than we can score.

Only a casual fan would not be concerned about our defense.

We never had a stop in the 2nd H

Our DL had players who left that didn't return, and others who never played

Our secondary had players who left the game, and their backups looked like backups or worse.

We used LBs to cover slot receivers, even when Ehlinger had not shown much inclination to run

We will get better I'm sure. But not sure we have the personnel to run the scheme necessary to beat the teams we need to beat to win championships.

Me. I never worry about an LSU defense. They are almost always good enough to win.

if you're not concerned, you should be. Great goal line stand but most of the game, especially the second half they were garbage. Reminded me of the 2007 defense. All the praise and stats in the world but wet the bed on big plays. How many 3rd downs did they convert?

Hopefully they'll learn and pipe down and not carry on like High School Charlie running their mouths again before big games.

d line ,no pressure. Harris and Fulton looked like weak links in the secondary. Noticed that they tried to throw at Stingly once and never tried him again.

Lets take into consideration that the offense was scoring in such A fast fashion that the D didn't have as much time to rest.... I am WAY more worried about the running game than the defense at this point... BTW. Texas has a real good offense... No shame in the yards given up..... AND we won................ So quit BITCHING..........

After I rewatched the game we missed a ton of tackles and took bad angles all game. This can be corrected so I am not to worried. I guarantee one thing Florida and Alabama will watch that Texas game tape and we better tighten it up though

I'm also a little disappointed so far that Chaisson appears human

He was playing straight containment the entire Texas game, and ga southern never through the ball.

He's had 0 opportunity to truly rush the QB

Third and long conversions which seemed automatic and wide open receivers has me a little concerned. Seemed to be a problem on occasion last year too, which also has me concerned.

If we want to be able to make the playoffs while still losing to Alabama, I think we'll need to be better.

Yeah the revisionism here is pathetic. People just repeat the stupidity they hear.

quick scoring offense always makes it tougher on the D. The 2013 team had fans blaming the D all year long although stat wise the D outranked the O. I know most will have to look it up or just down vote me. I'm talking about total offense and total defense national rankings. This could have been because Mett, Hill, Landry, and OBJ had basically all the yardage.

Been knowing for years it’s simple math. The faster and better you score or your offense is leads to more opportunities for the other team and less defensive rest and production for your defense
