The strip against Auburn was phenomenal. It looked almost like it was the Honey Badger out there. Can't wait to see what he does this year.

Hes a very good player. And he can be used everywhere back there. Very fortunate he came back. Hopefully burns stays healthier this yr and we could have a hell of a tandem

He’s got a little honey badger in him. Terrific field presence and nose for the ball…

One of my favorite players from last year, Arky fricked up letting him get away. Dude makes plays

I keep saying we've got to find a way to put him at the nickel so he's closer to the ball.

He makes plays and gets turnovers. You waste him playing him at free safety. We need somebody else playing the back end.

I don't know it that's Chestnut, or if Zy Alexander goes back there, or if Toviano can do it or even if it's Burns, though I like his size for strong safety. But I don't think we're playing our best defense if we can't put Brooks at the nickel.

I said last year he was by fAr one of my favorite players on team. He makes a play like honey badger every so often.

Hopefully we get to see this. Sage Ryan still on the team too right?

He is, but he'll have to make a big step up if he's going to be much help.

Chestnut and Alexander both look like much better playmakers who would need to get on the field before Ryan.

The other guy is Kylin Jackson, if he doesn't show up big enough to move down to linebacker. I would expect he's a pure strong safety, though.

And then supposedly we're about to pull Andre Sam in here.

That might give us a guy who can hold down the free safety spot and let Brooks slide to nickel.

Honeybadger wouldn't have been leveled by the QB. Just sayin...

Totally agree. They messed up not getting a true free safety out the portal before spring ball.

I just get a little bit of a Grant Delpit vibe from the idea of letting Zy play free safety.

But we need three other guys to be good corners to make that work, because Zy is legit at corner.

Can he land a slider for a strike?

Alexander got torched the most of all corners this spring. Sometimes the talent level is an eye opener for players going from a school like southeastern to LSU . I don’t see where anyone has seen him with the safeties yet either .

Brooks seems to make a lot of big plays, such as that strip against Auburn.
