With some of our fans? Yes...for many years and and because of what you describe.

Of the program? Never...not ever.

Not I. It is just a bit awkward at the moment given the nature of the HC.

I am not sure how old you are but I have been an lsu fan for over 40 years. Been through all the bad times . I am not sure you have. Miles is a classy guy and I have often asked who could we bring in here and do as well as miles not named Saban Meyer or harbaugh. Miles will be here next year even if he losses out. I don't want another coach. I just want the current coach to open his eyes and sees that a change is needed on offense.

This thread is hilarious. It just shows how quick to respond people are. Half the people on this post responded without reading the post, and these same posters are the one that registered in 2012 and have 10k posts.

I grew up in baton rouge and have been some rough years, much rougher than last year. I remember the turning point when Clayton, Hill, Spears, Whitworth, Niswanger and Wilkerson committed and several years later we won the NC. Didn;t think that would happen in my life time. Fast forward 10+ years and people expect that feeling every year or else we should fire everyone and burn the stadium down.

It's just so ridiculous.

Ahhhhhh yes the lsu fan base. I said the day after we won the nc after the 2003 season that it would change the fanbase forever. In a bad way. The younger fans have no clue what true heartbreak is.

You can love your team and yet still be critical if you believe we're not performing up to our capability. And that's where we are.

And we're not "entitled" fans. But we do think we should see a better product on the field, given our recruiting, facilities, and money/support.

The usual suspects are out in force - rooting against the team to facilitate a change they want. I despise them for it. They are the worst sort of "fan". I made some posts today suggesting the team has quit (because that's how it looks) - but I'm a certified positiger. I'm not happy with the turn of the past 2 games - lots to be worked on, but winning is something our fan base takes for granted. "Anybody can coach and win at LSU." bullshite. Tell that to Texas. Tell that to Tennessee. Tell that to Miami.

Ok, so name the coach that will come here and get you what you want. Most lsu fans think they are "entitled". Is this team really as talented as most think??? I am not so sure right now.

Shame on the fans for losing 60% of SEC West games the last couple of seasons.

Butch Davis left for the NFL, and they hired a good ol boy disciple. Similar to us hiring Cam as HC if Miles left.

So none of your examples hold any water. When people compare us to Texas, they should be afraid we are going down the same path by letting our nice guy head coach stay around to long and driving the program into mediocrity. We can cut our losses now and thank Miles for his service and get the ship righted before we reach Texas status.

I upvoted this bc
a) I'll always bleed pg (going to ox sat)
B) most times the a-hole you know is better than the one you don't

With that said, next two games is critical for the hat.
Dude needs to get this thing together.

I live close to Notre Dame currently, and I can tell you unequivocally we have some of the most self entitled, world is endling fans.Everyone that I interact with thinks we are crazy for considering firing Miles and the general consensus outside of the LSU bubble is that the likelihood of getting a BETTER coach is not great.

People are so full of shite. Fan bases outside of LSU make fun of Miles all of the time and dog him every time he has had some kind of clock management breakdown.

By the way, Notre Dame has one of the biggest assholes ever coaching their team, so they should worry about that.
